Are you in the “people” business?
There is an old saying, “Products don’t move themselves. Products don’t have legs. People move products.”
So if you want to earn bigger bonus checks, you have to learn to be a mover of people. Since products don’t “sell themselves” – you have to move people to talk about and sell products. This is a good thing. If products sold themselves, companies wouldn’t need distributors.
So are you a good “people mover?”
If you are new to network marketing, probably not. Thankfully, moving people is a skill we can learn. We don’t have to be born with this skill. It is one of the many skills we learn for our new career in network marketing.
So where should you start? How do you learn the basic skills of moving people?
If you are academically inclined, enroll in a psychology course and a marketing course at your local college. Learn how and why people make decisions to believe what you say.
If you don’t have time to go to the local college to learn that skill, get your upline to give you the step-by-step instructions.
If your upline is not available, or if your upline has not yet learned those skills, then it is up to you to learn the skill, if you have decided to make network marketing your career. Here are a few resources to help. I don’t know where you are in your career, but choose the resource to match your commitment.
#1. Take the no-cost mini-course, “How to Speak the Secret Language of Your Prospects” at:

#2. Read “How To Get Instant Trust, Belief, Influence And Rapport! 13 Ways To Create Open Minds By Talking To The Subconscious Mind” at:

#3. Start learning the 25 skills and make network marketing a full-time career at:

More rejection and why.
New distributor: “But I invited 100 people I know and only one person wanted to come to a presentation. I hate all this rejection!”
Hmmm. Think about this.
Three possible problems here.
Problem #1: The new distributor is saying the wrong words. Prospects are not rejecting the opportunity, since they don’t even know what the opportunity is yet. The prospects are rejecting the words the new distributor used to make the invitation. Solution? Teach the new distributor better trained words and better “Ice Breakers” to invite.
Problem #2: The prospects are rejecting the distributor because of past experiences with the distributor. This problem is much harder to solve. The distributor may need to go back to his warm market and re-establish a better relationship.
Problem #3: The new distributor doesn’t really believe in the products and opportunity, and just considers the business a “sales job” – trying to convince prospects. People perceive someone’s true intentions. In Texas, we have a saying: “Dogs know who to bite.” In this case, we have to work harder on getting our new distributor to truly believe he is sharing something that enhances prospects’ lives.
Our new distributors’ first experiences are important. If they are bad, we could lose our new distributor. If your new distributor is getting lots of rejection, then look at the three problems above and decide how we could help our new distributor improve.

It’s weird. It’s bizarre. Distributors spend hundreds of dollars on products, services, advertising, travel, promoting … just to get prospects … and not a single dime on learning what to say when they get there.

What is the perfect length of your opportunity presentation?
Walk up to a prospect and say:
“I can give you a long presentation or a short presentation. Which one would you prefer?”
Call a prospect and say:
“I can give you a long presentation or a short presentation. Which one would you prefer?”
The answer is obvious. Short.
Prospects are super busy with family, jobs, email and cable television. They want to know these things right away:
1. What kind of business are you in?
2. How much money can I make?
3. What do I have to do to earn that money?
If you can answer those questions quickly, you will keep your prospect interested. That’s what I call a “One-Minute Presentation.”
Try putting your “One-Minute Presentation” together now and have it ready for your next prospect. Your prospect will love it, and you’ll be building your business with ease.
If you don’t know how, learn how to give a “One-Minute Presentation” with this seven-lesson mini-course. There is no cost. Just go to:

That will start the conversation about owning our own business.

Fat Boy Report.
My niece called me “fat” … so I sugar-coated what she said. Delicious.
Then she said that I was 3 of the 5 fattest people she knew. I didn’t know what to say to that, got depressed, ate cookies.
Can’t wait for the dessert buffets for the holidays.
