You have to become worth more as a person!!!!

A wonderful article from Chris Widener on the power of making changes, some you need to work on over a prolonged period others are gradual yet you
you have to work on such. You have to work on changing those things you want to within your life, weather its health, a relationship, your emotions,
as my good friend and mentor Michael Dlouhy say’s “For things to change, you have to change. For things to get better you have to get better”. This is
very true and comes from Jim Rohn.

As Michael also says “You have to become that leader that people want to be in business with”

Back to Boot Camp
by Chris Widener

You know, whenever you are going to make a major change and begin to undergo a different lifestyle, it is probably good to make a massive move in that direction. Think about it. As the old saying goes, "If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got!" So if you keep on living the way you are living, you will keep right on with the life that in many ways you wish was changing! So how do you change your life? You change what you are doing!

This is the basic idea behind the military's Boot Camp. You know the drill. This is where they take a bunch of 18-year-old kids who think they are in pretty good shape, both physically and psychologically and they put them through six weeks of misery! But the misery is intentional!

All of the hard work and physical and mental exercise they put the young folks through is to strengthen them and to prepare them for the jobs they will be performing later on. Could you imagine if the military took a lackadaisical approach and greeted every new recruit with, "Welcome to the Army. We are going to work you easy into your new lifestyle. You can get up tomorrow around ten and brunch will be served at eleven. Come as you are." No way! They get them accustomed to drastic and massive change because they want them to have drastic and massive change in their lives. The only time they ever got up at four a.m. before was to go fishin'! Now it will be every morning!

So what about a life boot camp? Is it possible? Is it something we could, or should, try? I think for many people, the idea of a six-week period of drastic change would be great for them. Even if they didn't live that way the rest of their lives they would still probably make a major shift in the direction they want to go and would be happy with the results they would receive.

So here are some thoughts on ways you could go through a life boot camp. Give it a try for six weeks, just like in boot camp, and see if it doesn't make a difference in your life. As always, if you are going to do something physically, contact a doctor and if financially, contact your financial advisor before beginning anything.

Health.
Try getting up a half hour earlier and going for a walk or a run every day. Perhaps you just skip a half hour of television at night and do it then.
Try cutting out desserts or other favorite fattening foods.

Emotions.
Make contact with a broken relationship and begin to get together with them to restore your friendship.
Take time each day, even if just for fifteen minutes to sit quietly in silence or with some soft music just to quiet your spirit.

Finances.
Don't make any new purchases that aren't essential for six weeks.
Take any extra money you get and pay it all toward your debt. Every nickel!

Spiritual.
Attend your local family of faith for six weeks in a row.
Take time each day to listen to some spiritual music or read good faith building literature. (This can probably be combined with the time you take for emotions)

These are just some thoughts for you. I am sure you can come up with some of your own. The idea is to make a drastic step in the right direction. Maybe you do all of them; maybe you combine just a few. The goal, however, is to put yourself into a life boot camp situation. That is what will help you change and make you strong!

Come on soldier, the trumpet is blowing

Technorati Tags: ,,,you have to become more as a person,

Who am I around????

A very powerful article on your associations as a person and who you are around. As Jim Rohn Say’s in the article what has that person got you becomming
Has that person got you becoming richer or poorer?
Are you becoming healthier or worse?
Are you reading more or less?

Are you around those people who will pull you up as a person or the people who are just going to pull you down. Are your associates helping your grow as a person
or are they stagnating your growth and making you decline.

Evaluating Your Associations
by Jim Rohn

If you were to evaluate the major influences in your life that have shaped the kind of person you are, this has to be high on the list: the people and thoughts you choose to allow into your life. Mr. Shoaff gave me a very important warning in those early days that I would like to share with you.. He said, "Never underestimate the power of influence." Indeed, the influence of those around us is so powerful! Many times we don't even realize we're being strongly affected because influences generally develop over an extended period of time.

Peer pressure is an especially powerful force because it is so subtle. If you're around people who spend all they make, chances are excellent that you'll spend all you make. If you are around people who go to more ball games than concerts, chances are excellent that you'll do the same thing. If you are around people who don't read, chances are excellent that you won't read. People can keep nudging us off course a little at a time until finally, we find ourselves asking, "How did I get here?" Those subtle influences need to be studied carefully if we really want our lives to turn out the way we've planned.

With regard to this important point, let me give you three key questions to ask yourself. They may help you to make better analyses of your current associations.

Here is the first question: "Who am I around?" Make a mental note of the people with whom you most often associate. You've got to evaluate everybody who is able to influence you in any way.

The second question is: "What are these associations doing to me?" That's a major question to ask. What have they got me doing? What have they got me listening to? What have they got me reading? Where have they got me going? What do they have me thinking? How have they got me talking? How have they got me feeling? What have they got me saying? You've got to make a serious study of how others are influencing you, both negatively and positively.

Here's a final question: "Is that okay?" Maybe everyone you associate with has been a positive, energizing influence. Then again, maybe there are some bad apples in the bunch. All I'm suggesting here is that you take a close and objective look. Everything is worth a second look, especially the power of influence. Both will take you somewhere, but only one will take you in the direction you need to go.

It's easy to just dismiss the things that influence our lives. One man says, "I live here, but I don't think it matters. I'm around these people, but I don't think it hurts." I would take another look at that. Remember, everything matters! Sure, some things matter more than others, but everything amounts to something. You've got to keep checking to find out whether your associations are tipping the scales toward the positive or toward the negative. Ignorance is never the best policy. Finding out is the best policy.

Perhaps you've heard the story of the little bird. He had his wing over his eye and he was crying. The owl said to the bird, "You are crying." "Yes," said the little bird, and he pulled his wing away from his eye. "Oh, I see," said the owl. "You're crying because the big bird pecked out your eye." And the little bird said, "No, I'm not crying because the big bird pecked out my eye. I'm crying because I let him."

It's easy to let influence shape our lives, to let associations determine our direction, to let pressures overwhelm us, and to let tides take us. The big question is, are we letting ourselves become what we wish to become?

Ideas will come when they are meant to.

A powerful article from Jim Rohn’s Vitamins for the mind on ideas won’t interrupt you they will often come as you need them.
Vitamins for the Mind by Jim Rohn

Ideas

If you wish to find, you must search. Rarely does a good idea interrupt you.

Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need is just one more good idea.

Ideas are information taking shape.

When a new idea comes our way, we must put it on our mental scales and weigh it carefully before deciding its value.

One of the secrets to success is ideas mixed with inspiration.

Nothing is more powerful for your future than being a gatherer of good ideas and information. That's called doing your homework.

“Vitamins for the Mind” is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of more than 365 quotes on 60 topics gathered from Jim’s personal journals, seminars and books and spanning more than 40 years.

You are special to someone!!!!

A very special insight of the day email from Friday on others thinking of you as a person. There is one person that such reminded me about during this message today and
that is the most amazing woman I know. My partner and best friend Jenny, for me I am so glad that got to meet her. Yet someone is always thinking of you as a person,
it may be your partner, your best friend, even a stranger, there is always someone who wants to see you safe and happy in life.

Recently when traveling to New Zealand I was told I don’t have to worry anymore as I know she’s safe. Someone is constantly worried about another persons safety, their
health, who they are as a person. Sometimes we get angry as we are worried  or unable to express something. Yet often we have someone special hidden within our own thoughts
and we are featured within others thoughts too.

That Someone Is Me

Someone is lighting a candle for you today and holding you in the light of that flame which burns brightly for you.

Someone is feeling your pain today, your grief and your sorrow and transforming it into joy, serenity and love.

Someone is thinking kindly of you today in the deep recesses of their own heart and the depths of their soul. Find peace in that!

Someone is imagining you today surrounded by angels, spirits, healing energies, celestial beings, starlight and deep magic and wonder. Wrap yourself in all of that.

Someone is understanding today, the depths of what you have been going through, and is embracing you with deep compassion and trusting in your own profound inner knowing to see you through it.

Someone is holding your hand today and letting you know that you are never alone and never have been, even though there have been moments, when you lost your way and felt abandoned and afraid. You never were!

Someone truly knows today perhaps at a level that you do not yet, that all is well somehow, even though it may not appear to be so. And that there is great meaning and purpose in your life, just by the very fact that you are here in all your splendor. Without you here nothing would be the same for any of us. Know that and take strength in it.

Someone is praying for you today and their prayers are being heard and answered.

Someone is whispering gently to your soul today to keep going no matter what, one day at a time, one step at a time, one inch at a time. We are all celebrating that you haven't given up and you are making such an immense difference for all of us.

Someone is holding you in the light as things in your world seem to be falling apart and putting them back together for you, in new, miraculous and astonishing ways. Trust and believe in that!

Someone is remembering today, who you really are, and why you came here and reminding you when you begin to close your eyes and surrender, just for a moment, to the truth, to what is right NOW, in this moment, and what can be. Ask for that!

Feel the love, cherish the knowing, drink in the joy, and take comfort and strength in all of it. It is all here for you. Reach for it! Embrace it! It is Divinely Yours!
