How to get salesmen to send you pre-sold prospects.
Visit your local car dealership and notice all of the bored salesmen. They spend most of the day waiting for prospects to come to their door.
Choose one of the bored salesmen and offer to buy him a cup of coffee at a nearby restaurant. He has plenty of time and will welcome the diversion.
Ask the car salesman, “How much commission do you earn on prospects who can’t afford to purchase a car?”
He will reply, “Nothing.”
Then make this proposal: “If a prospect can’t afford the monthly payments, or doesn’t have enough for a down payment, or doesn’t have enough credit, tell him this:
“I have a friend named Big Al. He’s a pretty nice guy. He helps people earn extra money each month so that they can afford the car of their dreams. Here is his telephone number. He’s a pretty busy guy, but you’ll definitely want to talk to him. I’ll make sure to give him your telephone number the next time I see him, just in case you weren’t able to reach him.”
You get a pre-sold prospect for your business, and the car salesman gets a future prospect who can afford to buy a car.
Many (not all) salesmen will gladly allow you to help their prospects have more money to spend.
