Who should I talk to?

Who should I talk to?

When your untrained distributor comes to you and says, “Who should I talk to?” – you almost want to bang your head against the wall until you are unconscious.
“Who should I talk to?” is the wrong question.
The correct question is, “What should I say to the people I talk to?”
*** Success in sponsoring is not in finding the right person. Success is saying the right thing to the person you are talking to. ***
Remember the old wives’ tale?
“You can’t say the wrong thing to the right person.”
Well, trust me you can say the wrong thing to the right person and turn them into a bad prospect. I’ve done it a thousand times.
Remember the old wives’ tale?
“You can’t say the right thing to the wrong person.”
Well, how do you think people change? They change because someone said the right thing.
Remember the old wives’ tale?
“Just go out and get 100 No’s.”
Well, if three “No’s” hurt, why would we want 97 more?
Remember the old wives’ tale?
“Every No just gets you closer to a Yes.”
Not true. Every “No” just gets us closer to another “No” because we are saying the wrong thing.
So at some point we “get it” and realize that saying the right words is what sponsoring is all about. So at what point are we going to do something about it?
