“Big Al” Skill #12: First sentences.

When we first start our network

marketing career, we are pretty

clueless.

We think our prospects' decisions are

based upon ... information. So what do

we do?

We give information-rich presentations, read flip charts, have elaborate Power Point presentations, hand out CDs and DVDs, send our prospects to web pages ... and nothing happens.

Professional networkers know that the

first sentence out of our mouths is the most important part of the presentation.

In my "live" Super Sponsoring Workshops, I spend the first two hours just explaining first sentence technology.

Think about it. Don't you quickly judge people consciously? And your unconscious mind judges even quicker, based upon programming.

* So what is the first sentence you use to start your presentations?

* Which programs does your first

sentence access?

* What commands do your first sentences send to your prospect's subconscious mind?

If you don't have a good first sentence, you will be stuck in the misery of talking to prospects who have already judged you.

If you don't even have a clue about

first sentences, here is a great first

sentence to start your presentations. It is one of my favorites.

"Most people do network marketing every day, but they just don't get paid for it."

If you are serious about your network

marketing business, you have already

learned the skills to understand what

this sentence does. If you are a

beginner or hobbyist, make a commitment to learn these skills.

Now, we need lots of first sentences for:

* Ice breakers.

* Prospecting.

* Retailing.

* Getting appointments.

* Closing.

* And more.

In 2003, I was introduced to a computer program that automatically creates magical first sentences for us. When I saw this computer program, I said, "31 years of my network marketing career wasted!"

This easy-to-use program only asks four little questions, you press a button, and instantly 100 creative first sentences are created for the subject you chose. So you will have 100 choices to choose from. :)

Here is the link to this program:

If you would like to create first

sentences and headlines on your own, I

recommend all the classic books by the

legendary copywriters such as Olgivie,

Caples, etc. Fascinating reading.

In 48 hours, I'll show you what Skill

#13 does to help us create the success

we want in network marketing. Watch for the email.

Thanks.

How You Deal with Challenges by Cynthia Kersey

How You Deal with Challenges

by Cynthia Kersey

How you deal with challenges will determine whether you achieve your goal or give up and settle for less than you deserve. If we really want to create different results in our lives, we must become aware of how we interpret the "facts" or "events" of our lives and understand that our explanations often do not represent the "truth" of what's possible for us.

In a very real sense, facts are an objective account of the event that occurred. No interpretation or meaning is attached. For example: "I was rejected by a potential investor for my project," "My husband left me," "I lost my job," "I was diagnosed with an illness," "I can't get pregnant." Truth represents what's possible in any situation. "Each rejection brings me one step closer to an investor for my project," "I will find a new, better relationship," "I can find a better and more fulfilling career," "My health will improve," "I can adopt," and so on.

Many people believe that events control their lives and that their circumstances have shaped who they are today. It's not true. It's not the events of our lives that shape us, but how we respond to those events, what we think they mean, and whether challenges trigger the "giving up" reflex in us or motivate us to hang tough and keep fighting.

From Jim Rohn’s newsletter a powerful article on the power of how we see things and what opportunities lie in front of us with a barrier.
