“Alarm clocks found to be hazardous to your health and happiness.”
Great headline, eh? If you don’t capture your prospect’s imagination and attention with a great first sentence or headline … you don’t have a prospect.
Always think hard about what your first sentence will be. Your career depends on it.
* “The vitamins you shouldn’t take in the morning.”
* “In-laws celebrate as New Jersey couple cancels one-week visit to vacation at Disney World.”
* “How to make money every time your neighbor surfs the Internet.”
* “Cosmetics world groans as new wrinkle cream outperforms their high-priced brands.”
* “Broke ex-soldier earns a free car and doubles his paycheck.”
* “14 reasons to quit your job and still get a paycheck.”
* “Herbal fat-burner tablets help you lose weight while watching television.”
* “How you can make a profit by helping customers save on their local phone bills.”
These are just a few ideas to get us thinking. More in our next issue.
Remember, first sentences are used by your competition. Everyone is vying for your prospect’s money.
