Chaper 14 - The Sixth Sense
Hill writes “This chapter on the sixth sense was included, because this book
is designed for the purpose of presenting a complete philosophy
by which individuals may unerringly guide themselves in attaining
whatever they ask of life. The starting point of all achievement is
desire.  The finishing point is that brand of KNOWLEDGE which
leads to understanding - understanding of self, understanding
of others, understanding of the laws of Nature, recognition and
understanding of HAPPINESS.
We have all come to this “mental cleanse” process because we
were looking for help in our Network Marketing Business.  Some
of us were told “We need the Mental Cleanse more than we need
oxygen.”  With that we began the process of reading “Think & Grow
Rich” each week and submitting our lessons.
We had a desire. For most, if not all, that desire was to make a
certain amount of money.  In order to make this money and build
our business we used “Success in 10 Steps” as our lead to find people
to talk to who could eventually become partners with us in our business.
This became our “Agenda”.
As we went through the process we learned that we had to get rid of
the “Agenda” and we truly wanted to help these people whether they
ever became partners or not.  Getting rid of “Agenda” is a huge step
because it is something we don’t necessarily recognize in ourselves.
We learn to love ourselves so that we can learn to love others.  This takes
getting to know ourselves by getting rid of the fears we have allowed others
and circumstances to influence us by and by what we allowed our
subconscious mind to accept.
We are now ready to accept the fact that we are responsible for what
happens in our lives.  We live in the “Now”.  We don’t live in the past
and we don’t dwell in the future.    We have opportunities made available
to us all the time.
We are by this time ready and have the confidence in ourselves to be
able to accept the value of the sixth sense with its “flashes, hunches
or inspirations” and trust in it.
We are ready to understand and accept happiness.   It is not money. 
It is not material things.  It is not selfish.  It is confidence in helping,
giving and sharing with a caring attitude.
Happiness is a state of mind.

Chapter 14--The Sixth Sense
Sometimes you know that you know that you know.  Even if it doesn’t make sense.
Throughout our lifetimes there are those divine appointments that occur for which there is no human explanation.   It’s not pure luck nor is it simply an accident.
I believe it’s by Divine Design. 
Some call it Infinite Intelligence or Higher Power.
I prefer to call it God. 
In His Infinite Wisdom, God placed within Man the ability to connect through the power of the Sixth Sense.  It wasn’t enough that He gave us Ears to listen, Eyes to see, Hands to Touch, Tongues to Taste, and Nostrils to Breathe.  He loved us so much that He gave us the amazing ability to hear His voice, sometimes at the most unexpected times or places.
Sometimes we don’t even realize that He is working until much later on.
Such was the case when I met my husband thirty-one years ago.  We had a mutual friend who set us up on a blind date despite our scores of reasons why we were perfectly content in our individual and single lives.  Vicki was persistent and we both finally agreed to let her “fix us up.”
I can still see Ray walking down the concrete path to my house; but never in a million years would I have guessed that inside of four months, we’d be walking down a wedding aisle.
You see, I knew that I knew that I knew within a few weeks that God was at work in my life in a pretty big way. 
We know that thoughts are things.  Across hundreds and hundreds of miles, two people who had somewhat different pasts, yet the exact same crystal clear desire for their future, were brought together.  A perfect Love Triangle was being formed between two imperfect humans and their Heavenly Father.
We witness the miracle of the Sixth Sense in the ordinary daily activities of life, often attributing it to being at the right place at the right time.  But when we peer into the rear view mirrors of our lives, we can more clearly see how God’s hand has led us through the ups and downs of life. 
I am forever grateful for the connection that I have with the One who created me. 
And for those uncomfortable times when I can’t see His hand at work, then I know I can trust His heart.

The SIXTH SENSE is that portion of the subconscious mind which has been
referred to as the Creative Imagination. It has also been referred to as the
“receiving set” through which ideas, plans, and thoughts flash into the mind.
The “flashes” are sometimes called “hunches” or “inspirations.”
This past month has been the start of a major career transition in my life, the likes of which would have resulted in much doom and gloom and feelings of shame and failure just a few years ago. But, because of my committed participation in 30 Day Mental Cleanse and my commitment to actively learning and practicing the Law of Attraction,  I am seeing this transition as a major blessing and an opportunity to truly step into and follow my bliss by welcoming and acting on my sixth sense. I want to share with all of you what happened, what I did about it, and how I am progressing toward my dream life by listening to and following my sixth sense.
On Oct. 29th, 2012, I received a call from a social working informing me that two of my four foster care clients where moving out of my home on Oct. 31st; two days notice. What was interesting was the fact that just a week earlier I was informed that my other two client would be leaving as well, most likely by the end of November. Over the past 3.5 years I have come to rely exclusively on the money from my foster care business to easily pay my bills, and I have not saved a dime.  Panic, right? No, and here is why…
I wanted to move out of foster care, and I had created a 5 years plan to do so. What I had not anticipated was the strength of my positive emotions around moving out of foster care. My emotions and anticipated where so strong that "Infinite Intelligence" tuned into those strong, positive emotions and gave me exactly what I wanted, out. So, went from a five year plan to a 30 day plan. Wow!
The key difference between how I used to react in situations like this (my income taking the glide angle of a brick), and how I have now been taking Action, is that I made a decision to listen to my sixth sense, or what I call "the still, small voice". I was encouraged by a friend to participate in a 21 Day Mediation Challenge on Creating Abundance by Deepak Chopra. The timing could not have been more perfect, and I did it… All 21 days in a row.  Another Wow!
Because, I got focused on my sixth sense and decided to listen and take action, I have found a good job, I've found a wonderful opportunity to expand on and do more of what I am really good at (helping business owners follow their bliss and thrive), and I have opened several doors to securing living arrangements for my son and I.  There is much more unfolding every day, and I am in gleeful anticipation of the amazing possibilities.
The big lesson learns this week for me has been: Learn to hear and take action on your sixth sense, and abundance and prosperity will poor into your life like a never ending waterfall.

THE DOOR TO THE TEMPLE OF WISDOM
The Thirteenth Step toward Riches
The Sixth Sense is that portion of the Subconscious
Mind which has been referred to as the Creative
Imagination, the receiving set of The Brain.  We
understand it as the place where ideas, hunches
and inspirations flash into our mind.
To more fully understand, tap into and utilize the
sixth sense one must come to understand the other
principles Napoleon Hill writes about in Think & Grow
Rich.  One can not read this book once and think
they have mastered what Hill is trying to relate. 
You cannot read it, say wow, that was a good book
and then recommend it to a friend; no, you MUST
study it if you really want to master what Hill is
talking about.
At “Mentoring for Free”, in the forum we call The 30-
Day Mental Cleanse; we study the principles of this
book.  I personally have participated in this study
for over a year.  I am approaching my fifth set of
fifteen repetitions of this powerful philosophy.  For
those of you who perform physical exercise and lift
some weights to maintain reasonable body strength
you will understand the power of maintaining
healthy muscle tone by a moderate regime of
lifting weights through sets and reps in maintaining
good health.  The same is true for your mind.  Re-
reading the book and practicing the principles. 
Sets, Reps...Read Book, Practice Principles, again,
again and again...
Hill says, After you have mastered the principles
described in this book, you will be prepared to
accept as truth a statement which may, otherwise,
be incredible to you, namely:  Through the aid of
the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending
dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of
opportunities in time to embrace them.  There
comes to your aid, and to do your bidding, with the
development of the sixth sense, a “guardian angel”
who will open to you at all times the door to the
Temple of Wisdom. Whether or not this is a
statement of truth, you will never know, except by
following the instructions described in the pages of
this book, or some similar method of procedure.
I am coming to find that by this study what Hill
states in the previous paragraph is in fact truth. 
Mentoring for Free was developed using the 13
principles of this philosophy as its foundation.  I
have come to find that by “working to place these
very principles into my life for my personal growth,
the side affect has been the development and
growth of my network marketing business.
The basis for the following five laws found in the
book, “The Go Giver” written by Bob Berg and John
David Mann is rooted in the twelve principles
preceding this chapter on the “Sixth Sense”, they
are:
THE LAW OF VALUE
Your true worth is determined by
How much more you give in value than you take in payment.
THE LAW OF COMPENSATION
Your income is determined by
How many people you serve and how well you serve them.
THE LAW OF INFLUENCE
Your influence is determined by
How abundantly you place other people’s interests first.
THE LAW OF AUTHENTICITY
The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
THE LAW OF RECEPTIVITY
The key to effective giving is to stay open to receptivity.
Hill says no matter whom you are or your purpose
for reading this book, your success in manifesting
your desire into its physical equivalent is not
incumbent on understanding this chapter on the
“Sixth Sense”.  You can profit by the wisdom of the
other 12 principles if you are willing to let their
influence stimulate your Imagination and Desire.
This chapter is offered so you have a better
understanding of where the other chapters will
guide you.  The full understanding only comes with
the familiarity and use of the sixth sense.  As I
mention earlier in this review (paragraph three), Hill
says "repeat" this from time to time giving no concern
to how much or how little you learn at a time and
eventually you will find yourself in possession of a
power that will help you throw off discouragement,
master fear, and procrastination and draw freely on
your imagination.

THE SIXTH SENSE
THE DOOR TO THE TEMPLE OF WISDOM
The Thirteenth Step toward Riches
    This sense is a portion of the subconscious mind, also referred to as the creative imagination and to as the “receiving set” of our brain. It is through which Infinite Intelligence may and will communicate without any effort, demands and voluntarily by, the individual. It is through this “receiving set” ideas, plans, thoughts, hunches or inspirations or intuitions flash into the mind. Here, we get our imagination back into shape, enriched with sex transmutation.
    Now, this step, this key principle can only be assimilated, understand and applied only, I repeat, only by mastering the other twelve principles and it cannot be described to any profane person. Master Napoleon points out, “Understanding of the Sixth Sense comes only by meditation through mind development from within.” With this development one gets a sort of “guardian angel.”
    I usually say in my lessons that I am the Master of my Thoughts and the Captain of my words, feelings, sensations and actions. And for sure NOW, I am on the road to master my sixth sense, and to be prepared to accept as truth this statement, “Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of opportunities in time to embrace them.”
My stories,
    From my personal experiences, one of my favorite quotes is, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Also, I have the basic knowledge of Nature and her Laws. Therefore, I am a believer in and advocate of “miracles” and a “guy worship.”
For many years I suffered a terrible illness and I tried a lot of pharmaceutical medications. During those days I was totally focused how to overcome this illness. One day, more or less five years ago, specifically one evening before to go to bed and after I took the pills and tablets, boom!!! I watched on the TV the peoples, circumstances, events where they were treating my case and issues. Few months later I overcome that illness in an eco-friendly way. A miracle? Guardian Angels? The sixth sense in action with the Infinite Intelligence? I believe so.
    Around a little bit more than two years I started to be involved at Networking, specifically, in Network Marketing Mentoring and Business. Without doubt I knew and met many people in this discipline. Then, I conformed my Role Models and my “Invisible Counselors.” Six months ago I began with MLM business model. How and why? Without thinking, I met an excellent Mentor, Friend and Partner of Business. A sort of magnetism? One of the Nature’s Laws in action? the sixth sense working? I think so.
