Having a plan for the attainment of my desires is critical for me in making my dreams come true. Also stated in this chapter is that I will have to review and adjust as necessary in the event I am not moving forward to achieving my dream.
On the call yesterday Michael shared with us about an email he received recently and it talked about some of the reasons the person wasn’t making the progress he desired. What that showed me was that when we go off on our own and move away from using our mastermind group and their input and suggestions we are more than likely to get off course. We also discussed on the call about remaining teachable and using our mentors, again for the same reason. No matter how strong our plans are we may need the suggestions and support of others in order to keep our plans moving forward.
At the end of the chapter I came across this paragraph and see its power in helping me achieve my dreams.
“The QUALITY and the QUANTITY of service rendered, and the SPIRIT in
which it is rendered, determine to a large extent, the price, and the duration
of employment. To market Personal services effectively, (which means a
permanent market, at a satisfactory price, under pleasant conditions), one
must adopt and follow the “QQS” formula which means that QUALITY, plus
QUANTITY, plus the proper SPIRIT of cooperation, equals perfect
salesmanship of service. Remember the “QQS” formula, but do more -
APPLY IT AS A HABIT!”
I must become aware of the quality of my service and be willing to do my best. This was made aware to me recently on a project I am working on. My first choice was to rush and get it finished, without regard for quality. I know that would have not done service to anyone and I made the commitment to put in the time and effort in order to do it right the first time that more people will benefit that on a rush job.
As far as Quantity, Mentoring For Free, shows us less can be more. To work at finding the 4 or 5 key leaders in our business rather than looking to find everyone and get them in our business. We can in the end serve more people by building our business with these 4 or 5 key people than recruiting hundreds and watching the wheels fall off down the road.
Mentoring For Free is built on the spirit of cooperation and mutual support as we all know and love. When we do what we do in growing our business with the support of others, even those not in our business we are sure to achieve more.

The Life of a Farmer, Part 4
7. (Organized Planning). Armed with the Specialized
Knowledge of EXPERIENCE, and the faculty of
Imagination, the farmer is able to plan efficiently
using Idealization, Visualization and Expectation.
In winter, he reflects on past performance, analyzes
soil data, plans crop rotation and purchases seed. It
is also a time to enjoy the company of family and
friends as he rests and recreates from the seasons of
toil.
On Economics...
This also relates to: 10. (Power of the Mastermind).
After the American Civil War it became necessary to
reunify the nation. The Secretary of Agriculture,
working withe a small group of Freemasons, organized a
new fraternal order. They called it the Patrons of
Husbandry.
Organized into local, county, state and national
Granges, the Order unified the American farmers through
EDUCATION and COOPERATION. The farmers of the North and
South freely shared tips, techniques and breakthroughs
in agricultural science. They founded colleges of
agriculture, youth organizations, and formed networks
of Cooperatives for acquiring supplies and marketing
their goods. The American farmers flourished and helped
foster a nationwide spirit of HARMONY.
Around the turn of the twentieth century, railroads
controlled the movement of food. Throughout the history
of human civilization, those who controlled the
movement of food had the potential to become tyrannical
monopolies if they organized and abused their power.
Such were the American railroad barons. Unwilling to
share the fruits of their thousands of workers’ labor
fairly, they alienated their workers. If a farmer was
unwilling or unable to pay their fees, they let his
crop rot on sidings. Unsympathetic to the prices folks
has to pay for food, they alienated the American
consumers.
Coordinating with like-minded people, the Grange
convinced and motivated Congress to pass laws such as
the Sherman Antitrust Act and the Interstate Commerce
Act. These, along with labor strikes, brought the
barons to their knees.
Working with folks such as military leaders, who would
benefit by moving troops and equipment with greater
speed and efficiency, the Grange helped create the
Interstate Highway System. Today, railroads must
compete in a situation which benefits everyone.
For any transaction to happen, THE PERCEIVED VALUE OF A
SERVICE MUST EXCEED ITS COST.
On Leadership...
A Leader is much like a salt shaker. The salt
represents the HOPES and DREAMS of the followers. The
shaker is the STEWARD of these - he or she Contains,
Protects and Nurtures the Hopes and Dreams.
A good shaker must remember: It’s All About The SALT!
Should the shaker become hyper-inflated with its own
false feeling of self-importance and flip over, it will
lose its salt - and become an empty vessel, a useless
decoration.
A major attribute of a good Leader is a PLEASING
PERSONALITY.
Pleasing to WHOM?
Why, Everyone ELSE!
Above all else, a good Leader is a Great SERVANT.
Service to others comes before her or his own needs.
The Need to SERVE is the Primary Need.
Many of history’s great leaders paid the ultimate price
in SERVICE of their IDEALS. Regardless of Your personal
opinion of their ideals, the following men all had this
principle in common: Mohamed Atta, Martin Luther King
Jr., John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Nathan Hale, the
Apostles Peter and Paul, and Jesus of Nazareth.

Chapter 7: Organized Planning - Turning Desire Into Action
My number one goal in life is to reach my highest potential as a human being.  I want to reach that in every single aspect of my being as a person from my health, to financial abundance and prosperity, and to being the best person I can possibly be.  That is what makes Mentoring For Free different to me.  It is not just about the money.  It is about reaching for our highest potential as human beings and using planning to get there.  Every single failure on our way is a "temporary defeat" and only serves to make us better than we were before.  Thomas Edison experienced 10,000 temporary defeats to create something that is used all over the world now and without it our entire society could go into a collapse. 
Organized planning is essential to helping us achieve goals and dreams that are BIGGER than the average goals and dreams of people that never reach for their highest potential in life.  The only limits there are for human potential are in our minds, and we only use about 10% of our brain power so we probably are nowhere near understanding the true potential of human beings. 
If you plan to reach your highest potential in life then how do you want to do that?  Do you want to be a leader or a follower?  Clearly most of us here want to be leaders, because we are using network marketing as a vehicle to help us reach our highest potential in life.  If we want to be followers we can still reach our highest potential in life in many ways, but Hill points out that there are some limits in this category.  In network marketing there are enormous limits to being a follower, because 99% of the people in this industry fail to become financially successful.  Many of them were probably really great followers, but followers don't attract more followers.  It takes leaders to attract followers and this needs to be the foundation behind our organized planning is we want to be leaders. 
We don't have to be leaders with all the answers, because that is why we are in a mastermind group where we learn from others and every one brings experience, knowledge, wisdom, and something of value to the table.  Our working together in this 30 Day Mental Cleanse is an example of Shared thinking, which John C. Maxwell says is really a powerful way to dramatically increase your chances of success.  He also points out that few people ever engage in this powerful form of thinking called shared thinking (Master mind group).  The Mastermind group is very powerful to benefit us all and help us turn our organized plan into action, because it is a group of people that are trying to do the same thing.  In a spirit of cooperation we work together to become more than we already are.  Hill states that the Master Mind principle is absolutely essential.
"The “Master Mind” principle cannot obtain where PERFECT HARMONY does not prevail." - Napoleon Hill.  I have to applaud Michael on this one!  WOW!  Amazing how he does such a great job of creating PERFECT HARMONY with so many different people in the 30 Day Mental Cleanse.  Different types of people from all over the world.  Many of the most successful businesses in the world struggle to create PERFECT HARMONY in their working environments.  I think this is one thing that I really love about this group is that harmony and respect everyone has for everyone else.

This was a great quote, because "temporary defeat" is not to be AVOIDED, but actually it is something that is going to happen.  We have to realize this and I kind of feel a little temporary defeat now and then because I have struggled to get those e-book downloads lately.  When I was succeeded at giving them I kind of felt like I had "no life" and was being a little obsessive about spending too much time doing that.  I definitely need ot work on an organized plan where I actually don't spend too much time trying to get the e-book downloads, but still get some as opposed to zero.  In this category of temporary defeat I feel overwhelmed many times with the amount of knowledge I need to learn and with the competition involved in what we are trying to accomplish, and with the fact that no one seems very interested in free training.  I am determined to keep trying, but my struggles are clearly par for the course and only speed bumps on a path towards success.

Chapter 7 Organized Planning
The Crystallization of Desire into Action
The sixth Step Toward Riches
First. You are engaged in an undertaking of major
importance to you, your family, and your Network
Marketing Business,.  To be sure of success, you must have
plans which are faultless.
Second. You must have the advantage of the experience,
education, native ability and imagination of other minds.
This is in harmony with the methods followed by every
person who has accumulated a great fortune.
To even begin in network marketing you need to pick the
right network marketing company.  To do this correctly
requires a plan of “Do Diligence”.  Mentoring for Free teaches
“Five Pillars of “Do Diligence” for network marketers.  You may
have the first four pillars in place but without Pillar number five,
a proven duplicateable system of skills training for planning and
actively moving toward your success, you may be doomed
to continued struggle in finding the success you expected.
You must ally yourself with a master mind group, a group
to help you create and carry out your plan.  Most people
show up at Mentoring for Free because they lack a proper
executable plan.  The first step of which should have
been “Do Diligence” in identifying a “Five Pillar” network
marketing company.
My struggles were similar to everyone who has found
Mentoring for Free in their effort to find out why they have
not attained the success they expected in their company. 
This includes the other over 95% of network marketers
who continue to struggle and will continue to struggle until
they have all “Five Pillars” for network marketing success in
place.
I had the good fortune of finding and choosing to ally
myself with Mentoring for Free, then finding a success
team closely allied with my group.  This was all integrated
with company training of the highest caliber in the industry. 
So successful is the plan and the training they have been
the feature business and dawned the cover of Success From
Home magazine several times, soon to be featured again
along with the stories of hundreds maybe thousands of this
companies distributors.  This is what Hill is talking about in
the first two pages of this chapter.  This is why “Mentoring
for Free” and Michael Dlouhy are so adamant when
suggesting incorporating the “Five Pillars” into your plan.
If these ideas were incorporated more often there would be
many more successful people in network marketing.  Many
more of the 95% struggling associates would cross to the
other side.  You need to quit struggling, start using the
principles described in “Think & Grow Rich”, which will “Cause”
you to actually apply the skills and techniques suggested at
“Mentoring for Free” and your life, your families lives and your
business will change.  It is called "Being All In".
You have been preparing and traveling the roadway all your
life, you have desire and persistence or you would not be
reading this right now.  Your road has traversed many
streams, rivers, storms and deserts.  You have come to the
mountain and your goal is to reach the other side, the "Promised
Land".  Your “Master Mind” team will help you tunnel through the
mountain, pick your team wisely.  Offering the proper principles and
skills for your continued journey, they will help you formulate your
plan (build your drilling machine), update it regularly (sharpening
the blades) and help you carry out the activity require to reach
each milestone of your continued journey…more specifically,
“Pillar Five”, a duplicateable system which you can then pass on
to others who continue to struggle just as you were.  They must
cut their own path but you can be a guiding light as they begin
their tunnel to the other side.
Just as Hill says, “Thomas A. Edison failed ten thousand
times before he perfected the incandescent electric light
bulb. That is—he met with temporary defeat ten thousand
times, before his efforts were crowned with success.  Hill
continues with many more examples of temporary defeat in
this chapter.  Hill says, "Persistence" is to the character of man
as carbon is to steel.
All of us have experienced this temporary defeat.  When
you “discover” Mentoring for Free it is like arriving at the
base of the mountain.  Here you will find all the tools and
guidance you need to realize what has been eluding you
on your journey.  One of the most important things for you
to remember is that you chose correctly, in that you have

Suppose you up and decided to go for a trip to Inuvik.
Call a cab and tell the driver to take you to Inuvik.
Remember the chapter we did on imagination ? Can’t you just imagine the reaction ?
Drive ?     There?      (Assuming that your driver knows where Inuvik is)
Next question, “How much do you have in your bank account?”
“Ok I’ll fly, someone said you can make connections at the Skagway airport.”
Your ticket agent at the local airport would ask very emphaticaly and clearly and politely, “Where?”.
“Well, ok then, boat.” Skagway airport is right next to salt water, Pacific ocean.
Not going to happen.  What you need is some Organized Planning !
Drive to Edmonton Alberta Canada (and wave to us on the way past) Drive up the Alaska Highway to the junction of the Klondike and the Alaska highways, at Whitehorse Yukon Canada.  You are now straight north (a million miles) of Juneau Alaska, where Skagway airport is. The Klondike highway goes from that airport to Whitehorse.
Drive and drive and drive up the Klondike highway and turn off onto the Dempster Highway. It is highway number 5 but when you get to the Northwest Territories it becomes highway 8. Drive and drive and drive and cross The river (the Mackenzie) and drive and you are there. (Luckily there Is an airport there too.)  If you eeeeeeever  get there and it happens to be summer, the sun will be there to greet you no matter what time of day it is, or night either, for that matter. If it happens to be winter, well . . .
Now you see. You would need Majorly Organized Majorly Planning to get there. It is not going to just happen.
Neither is my self improvement, or my business, or any of my other goals.  How about yours?
