π₯ The Truth About Building Relationships (Especially With Chronic Illness) π₯

As a disabled network marketer living with chronic conditions, my time and energy are my most valuable assets. β‘
Iβm in the business of building relationshipsβit's the heart of #NetworkMarketing. But I've learned a hard lesson, both as a #Dadpreneur and as someone managing a disability:
You cannot build a friendship or a genuine connection alone. π
Itβs a two-way street.
You can be the most supportive, engaging, and caring person, but if the other person isn't willing to meet you halfway, it's not a relationship. It's an energy drain. π
For my fellow #DisabledEntrepreneurs or anyone with #ChronicConditions, you know how precious our "spoons" (our energy) are. We simply cannot afford to invest them all in one-sided connections.
And for all the #Mumpreneurs, #MLM professionals, and #DirectSales leaders, this is critical. We must build genuine connections, not just chase contacts. People can feel the difference between being valued and being pursued.
My new approach?
I show up authentically. I offer support. I listen.
But I also pay attention to who shows up for me.
Friendship is a partnership, not a project. π€
It requires mutual effort, mutual respect, and mutual desire to connect.
Your circle doesn't need to be wide, but it does need to be real. Choose to invest in people who are also choosing to invest back in you. πͺ
π How do you protect your energy while building new relationships? I'd love to hear your strategies in the comments!
