Earning My Way Off Disability: Why Willpower and Weight Loss Weren't Enough

Losing 40kg in 2006 was a massive milestone. It gave me the physical capacity to dive back into work, build a business, and eventually earn too much to even qualify for the disability support pension anymore. Walking away from that pension because I was out-earning it was an incredible victory.

But if you only look at the scale or the bank account, you miss the real battle going on under the surface.

For the next 19 years, I did what most people struggle to do: I kept the weight down. But it was a constant, grueling tug-of-war with my own biology. My weight bounced around continually. My joints remained "grouchy," my daily energy fluctuated wildly, and while I was winning the battle in business and against the scale, I was losing the internal war of physical recovery.

I had hit a hard biological ceiling. I realized that willpower can dictate what you put on your plate and how hard you work, but it can never repair broken cellular communication.

It wasn't until nearly two decades after my initial transformation that I discovered Redox Signaling Technology.

By shifting the focus from just fighting my weight to actively supporting my body at a cellular level, everything changed. I stopped fighting my biology and started giving my cells the tools they needed to repair and recover. That is the exact missing piece that broke my 19-year plateau, taking me from functional exhaustion to swimming 48 laps in 50 minutes.
