Motivation

What a powerful quote on motivation from Lee Iacocca. As Lee say’s people have to inspire just one person and get that person to
then inspire one other person to do something that is what motivation is about.

"Motivation is everything. You can do the work of two people, but you can't be two people. Instead, you have to inspire the next guy down the line and get him to inspire his people."

-- Lee Iacocca, Auto Executive

The Law of Expectations

A powerful article from Brian Tracy on Expectations from Jim Rohn’s Newsletter, that what you expect to happen will happen.
Say you expect someone to comehome safe and sound then they will, however you expect you aren’t going to see them again
the universe will make it so.

The Law of Expectations
by Brian Tracy

I've found that whatever you expect, with confidence, becomes your own self-fulfilling prophecy.

When you confidently expect good things to happen, good things usually happen to you. If you expect something negative to happen, you are usually not disappointed.

Your expectations have an inordinate effect on the people around you as well. What you expect from people and situations determines your attitude toward them more than any other factor, and people reflect your attitude right back at you, like a mirror, whether positive or negative.

Dr. Robert Rosenthal of Harvard conducted dozens of controlled experiments over the years to test the power of the expectations of teachers on student performance. In his landmark book, “Pygmalion in the Classroom,” he tells of case after case where teachers were told that a student, or sometimes a whole class, was extremely bright and was predicted to make a quantum leap in academic performance in the coming year.

Even though the students were chosen from the school population at large, as long as the teacher believed that the student or students were exceptional, and the teacher expected the student to do well, the students performed vastly better than other students in the same or similar classes, and vastly better than could have been predicted by previous grades or behavior.

In your own personal life, your expectations of your staff, your boss, your customers and even of your own future tend to come true. Your expectations exert a powerful influence on people and events, for good or for ill, so be careful!

Ant Philosophy

Wow what a greate philosophy from Jim Rohn as the ants are viewed. That they do all they can, they never quit, they just keep on going, also thinking this will
not last long and we will be out of here. What a very powerful example of being willing to look at the ants and do what they do. As appeared in Jim Rohn’s
newsletter.

The Ant Philosophy
by Jim Rohn

Over the years I've been teaching kids about a simple but powerful concept—the ant philosophy. I think everybody should study ants. They have an amazing four-part philosophy, and here is the first part: ants never quit. That's a good philosophy. If they're headed somewhere and you try to stop them, they'll look for another way. They'll climb over, they'll climb under, they'll climb around. They keep looking for another way. What a neat philosophy, to never quit looking for a way to get where you're supposed to go.

Second, ants think winter all summer. That's an important perspective. You can't be so naive as to think summer will last forever. So ants gather their winter food in the middle of summer.

An ancient story says, “Don't build your house on the sand in the summer.” Why do we need that advice? Because it is important to think ahead. In the summer, you've got to think storm. You've got to think rocks as you enjoy the sand and sun.

The third part of the ant philosophy is that ants think summer all winter. That is so important. During the winter, ants remind themselves, “This won't last long; we'll soon be out of here.” And the first warm day, the ants are out. If it turns cold again, they'll dive back down, but then they come out the first warm day. They can't wait to get out.

And here's the last part of the ant philosophy. How much will an ant gather during the summer to prepare for the winter? All he possibly can. What an incredible philosophy, the “all–you–possibly–can” philosophy.

Wow, what a great philosophy to have—the ant philosophy. Never give up, look ahead, stay positive and do all you can.

Health from Jim Rohn

Wow what a powerful quote from Jim Rohn from Vitamins for the mind on treating your health rite and well. That you need to
really take care of your health as best as you can. Yet alos you need to do the best to feed your body all that it needs.

Vitamins for the Mind by Jim Rohn

Health

Some people don't do well simply because they don't feel well.

Some people take better care of their pets than they do themselves. Their animals can run like the wind and they can barely make it up a flight of stairs.

Make sure the outside of you is a good reflection of the inside of you.

Treat your body like a temple, not a woodshed. The mind and body work together. Your body needs to be a good support system for the mind and spirit. If you take good care of it, your body can take you wherever you want to go, with the power and strength and energy and vitality you will need to get there.

Take good care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.

“Vitamins for the Mind” is a weekly sampling of original quotes on a specific topic taken from The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn. The burgundy hardbound book with gold-foil lettering is a collection of more than 365 quotes on 60 topics gathered from Jim’s personal journals, seminars and books and spanning more than 40 years.

Law Of Opposites

Wow what a post from Bob Proctor, as Bob Proctor states withinthis post that you are unable to have something without the other. There is a law
of oppisites, its the law of the universe where you either give and recieve or expect and decline and then get nothing in return. It comes back
to what would you rather have abundence or its opposite. With abundence there is always enough, as Bob proctor say’s in this post. There is
always a positive and a negative to everything.

As appeared in Friday’s insight of the day email

Law Of Opposites

Have you ever paid any attention to the idea that there are "two sides to everything?" Think of how often you have heard that.

Look at your hand. It has a front and a back side. Your body has a right and a left side. The automobile or room you are in has an inside and an outside. You couldn't possibly have one without the other.

This is an orderly universe, of which you are a part. The whole universe is governed by laws.

If you have watched The Secret you heard me quote the father of the space program, the late Dr. Warner Von Braun who said the natural laws of the universe are so precise that we do not have any difficulty today building a space ship, sending a person to the moon and timing the landing with the precision of a fraction of a second.

The law I am referring to today is the Law of Polarity or the Law of Opposites.

If it is a long way up to the top of a building, it must be a long way down. If it is a mile from point A to point B, it must be a mile from point B to point A. They are not only opposite, they are equal and opposite.

Everything that happens in your life today will either appear negative or positive. Keep in mind whatever happens must have a positive side to it.

A large majority of the population seems to be mentally programmed to pay attention to the negative side of life and unfortunately, ignore the positive.

Make a decision right now that, regardless of what happens today, you are going to look for the positive aspect of what's happening. Remember... every cloud has a silver lining. Do this again tomorrow and the next day until it becomes a habit to see the positive in everything. You will feel better, you will be more productive, and you will have more friends.
