Chapter 5 Specilazed knowledge
This chapter spoke to me about the need to know where to find the knowledge you are seeking at that point in time. At mentoring for free we have all the knowledge we may ever need, it’s a matter of what we require at that point in time. It’s the same with personal development as a person, each person comes into network marketing having their own groth curve. They must take this growth curve as a person. Yet when you stop learning or say you have learnt enough you go downhill.
For some it’s a quick growth curve, others it’s a long and steady growth curve. Whist I am realising that my own growth curve has been a long and steady one it was what had to happen, all of it has taught me about love and that showing my heart was ok.
I had to draw on the specialised knowledge of others to allow me to become that better person. That meant learning to ask women out for dates, when a woman was flirting with me, when the person was rite or wrong for me. It also meant learning that I was meant to be this way. That who I was ok, weather there was poor spelling, weather I said I love you quickly or not, weather I was open and said hey I want a family of my own quickly to someone. Yes a lot of things scared people off, some people have even attempted to change me and who I was as a person saying please correct this. That was hard or it may of even been asking someone hey how do you deal with someone who has limits to what they can do.
We have a lot of ways to get that information now weather it’s through mastermind groups, the internet, emails, colleauges, medical practicioners. At times we (I) have needed to mastermind with others on ways to deal with a situation weather its health or some other situation. You have to draw on peoples knowledge all the time. When you are open to others ideas you grow, yet when you are closed you stop growing and decline.
I am starting to realise that part of the journey is complete now, there is another part that has to be done. The next part will need work again and yet its what has to happen. Now its onto learning to be a father and to keep the relationship going whist being myself. A father and husband that is so different from the father I grew up having. The guy who say “I am going to meet you here after work, I will pick you up”. The guy who will just do things.
I am going to need to draw on others knowledge and yet learn at the same time to be a father and husband. I am needing to move on from the fear of stuffing up with own kids which has held me back for too long. Owing to the way own father was with me.
Yes there are going to be many times where am needing to learn more about being a parent and husband. Yes I may get it wrong at times, yet I will always learn. Yet I am going to do alright, I am now going to need to find those people who I can turn to and ask questions about parenting. Some are already here, a lot of the friendships are there it was a matter of knowing who is best. Whist I see my own father walking away again I am aware that it is what has happen.
