The brain and its power

Mentor Ben Drake

The brain and its power over our thoughts for think and grow rich lessons. My own personal lesson on the brain and Google’s own thoughts.

I must transmit positive thoughts, letting all others go. We all pick up on the sense impressions thrown our way by those who are around us.

Listening to Napoleon today I had a lightbulb moment after having read the chapter many times. Our own faith in many areas sends our events to the universe.

A positive person will believe there is enough money, believe the vacation is paid in full and commit to the vacation even when funds are low   Own own belief in money is what plays out in our lives.

A destructive belief will make it scarce like hill suggests with a maden. So I must keep my beliefs strong and positive. The same with my health, my business every area of my life.

Thank you so much to my amazing friends from mentoring for free for your friendship whilst I grew to become more. Thank you so much to my amazing mentor for Life Ken klemm for your mentoring and friendship. Thank you so much to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for giving myself the chance to grow and become more  thank you to my amazing wife Jenny for your consistent love and support.

Your friend and mentor for life.

Big hugs my friends

“Brain thought transmutation” refers to the neurological process by which the brain can actively **change or redirect thought patterns**, particularly from negative or unhelpful ones to positive or more constructive ones. While the term “transmutation” often carries a more philosophical or esoteric connotation (as popularized by Napoleon Hill in the context of sex transmutation, where energy is redirected for creative pursuits), from a neuroscience perspective, it aligns strongly with the concept of **neuroplasticity**.

Here’s how brain thought transmutation works on a neurological level:

### The Brain’s Role in Thought Transmutation: Neuroplasticity

The foundation of thought transmutation in the brain is **neuroplasticity**, which is the brain’s remarkable ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections and strengthening or weakening existing ones. Our brains are not static; they are constantly adapting and changing based on our experiences, learning, and critically, our thoughts.

1.  **”Neurons That Fire Together, Wire Together”:** This is a fundamental principle of neuroplasticity. Every time you have a thought, a specific network of neurons (brain cells) is activated. The more frequently you think a particular thought, the stronger the connections (synapses) between those neurons become. This creates a neural pathway, making it easier for that thought pattern to fire in the future.
    * **Implication for Transmutation:** If you constantly engage in negative self-talk or worry, you are strengthening the neural pathways associated with those thoughts, making them more automatic. “Transmuting” these thoughts means deliberately and consistently activating *new*, positive pathways, which will eventually weaken the old, negative ones.

2.  **Formation of New Neural Pathways:** When you consciously choose to redirect a thought, engage in positive affirmations, visualize a desired outcome, or practice mindfulness, you are literally forcing your brain to create and strengthen new neural connections.
    * **Example:** If you typically react to stress with anxiety, but you consciously practice deep breathing and positive self-talk, you start to build new pathways that link stress to a calming response, rather than an anxious one.

3.  **Changes in Brain Structure and Function:** Consistent patterns of thought can lead to measurable changes in brain regions:
    * **Prefrontal Cortex (PFC):** This area, involved in decision-making, planning, and emotional regulation, can become stronger and more active with practices that promote positive thinking and self-control.
    * **Amygdala:** This region, associated with fear and emotional responses, can become less active when individuals learn to regulate their emotions and reduce negative thought patterns.
    * **Neurotransmitter Release:** Thoughts influence the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine (reward, motivation), serotonin (mood, well-being), and endorphins (pain relief, euphoria). Positive thought patterns can increase the release of beneficial neurotransmitters, reinforcing positive feelings and behaviors.

### Practical Applications and Brain Activity During Thought Redirection

Many techniques used for “thought transmutation” are rooted in our understanding of brain function:

* **Mindfulness and Meditation:** These practices enhance awareness of thought patterns, allowing you to observe negative thoughts without judgment and then consciously redirect your attention. Brain scans show increased activity in the prefrontal cortex and decreased activity in the amygdala during meditation.
* **Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):** A core component of CBT is identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns (cognitive restructuring). By consciously reframing thoughts, individuals actively reshape their neural responses.
* **Positive Affirmations and Visualization:** Repeatedly stating positive beliefs and vividly imagining desired outcomes can, over time, rewire the subconscious mind by strengthening specific neural networks associated with those positive concepts.
* **Distraction and Redirection Techniques:** When faced with distressing thoughts, actively shifting focus to a different activity or sensation (e.g., grounding exercises, engaging hobbies) leverages the brain’s limited capacity for focus, essentially interrupting and overriding the negative thought loop. This often involves engaging different attention networks in the brain, pulling focus away from the distressing stimuli.

In essence, “brain thought transmutation” from a neurological perspective is about leveraging **neuroplasticity** to consciously and consistently reshape our neural pathways. It’s the scientific understanding that our thoughts are not merely fleeting ethereal concepts, but active forces that can physically alter the structure and function of our brains, thereby “transmuting” our mental landscape and, consequently, our experience of reality.
