Would it be ok if I shared my lesson on Chapter 4 from Think and Grow Rich for this week’s Think and Grow Rich Lessons with You. A program that has helped thousands to change their lives and to become the person that they were intended to be. It has helped myself to become a better husband, father and friend.
I am just curious what do you constantly tell Yourself. Are You saying and repeating positive comments to reinforce Your goal, believing and suggesting Your goals achieved and Your living Your desires. When we constantly replay in our heads what has happened it gets drawn to us.
Two friends Amy and Jane are looking to settle down and start a family with their life partner. Both have had relationships go ary and end poorly. Amy has a 3 year son and is constantly frustrated with her ex, that he constantly is wrong, he barely sees his daughter and is bitter. Having been seeking a relationship for 2 years no relationship has stayed.
Meanwhile Jane has a 3 year daughter whos father died, Jane has been able to form a relationship with a man named bill who sees the daughter as his own and the pair are living together and engaged. Jane was constantly saying I am going to get married even though her partner had died. While Amy focused on her ex’s floors and that pain.
For many years it was a simular focus that drew poor relationships into own life, aswell as the pain of a distant father that pushed the relationships away. It’s alot of lessons to be learnt and work on. It’s been suggesting that I am a different father than knew and learning the lessons needed. We need to believe what we say to ourselves. I believe that I am a stay at home dad and have faith in that, its only my own faith that and self suggestion tgat has me here as a father, married and travelling new Zealand right now. We are all products of our own self suggestion or self talk.
It was my own autosuggestion and faith in that autosuggestion saying to myself a number of statements that allowed to be living the life that now dream of. The statements were.
• The next woman that date I am going to marry, i was saying that to myself for 3 months before meeting Jenny.
• I am going to be a dad before I turn 40, my son Jamie was born a couple pf months prior.
• I am going to introduce Jamie to the family in New Zealand in august 2017.
There are many more suggestions that we can offer and say to ourselves either about our family, our business or simular. Do you say to Yourself daily your goal or dream or do You speak about what is going on in the world. You draw it to Yourself, for me it means stopping constantly feeling so hurt and let down from a distant father. That means being focused on being that dad that Jamie needs. Letting it all go, it’s taken work to learn better habits and to walk away. Its going to take constant reinforcement of being a great dad using autosuggestion to overcome it all catching the funk when it happens.
