Chapter 15 How to outwit the six ghosts of fear
Take inventory of yourself as you read this closing chapter and find out how many of the “Ghosts” are standing in your way.
Wow what a chapter which served as reminder about many things. Yet the main thing which really struck upon reading this chapter was the susceptibility to negative influences. We may grow up in an environment where there is nothing different from such. As Michael spoke about on the leaders skills call on the 1 July and on various other occasions.
The solution as Napoleon Hill suggests is getting around those positive people who will inspire and motivate you as a person. Yet also closing your mind to those negative discouraging influences. We must deliberately seek out the company of people who encourage you to think and act for yourself such as Michael Dlouhy does and mentoring for free and even our own mentors.
Yet unfortunately there are people out there who love to give their own opinion and when we trust the person it goes rite in. We happen to see that person as an expert for some reason and wow we let things in without analysing the persons motive. For example I was once attending a course on hospitality skills and the instructor was someone who was very opinionated and brought up that the new trend of wrapping people was a good way to lose weight owing to putting it back on when you drink water.
Being the person who trusted them I took that on board and it became own belief. It took years to challenge such, it has been the same with other beliefs too. Now I am working on changing these fals programs and creating the new ones. Its been a work in progress as have had so much fear with own life from losing love, worry, ill health yet one by one I have manged to let such fall by the side.
Over the last number of years a dream of own has been to have own kids, it took a while to even feel that was able to do such. Now I am ready to walk that road when it comes that time, as I look around at these last few weeks. From leaving home with the family and moving in with Jenny and in the same week having gotten engaged also. Its been a dream come true lately something that have saught for many years, yet was a battle until now.
