Chapter 8 - Decision
Hill states “The value of decisions depends upon the courage required to
render them.  The great decisions, which serves as a foundation
of civilization, were reached by assuming great risks, which often
meant the possibility of death.”
Making a decision to build our business does not bring with it the
Possibility of death.  Yet, for some reason, we don’t make that
powerful,  right, definite decision backed by action to “be all in”
and really build our business.
Why not?
What is it that holds us back from putting our “all” into it?
We have thought we did and as time goes on we realize we really had
not put our full effort into the process.
How do we change that?
Maybe we need to ask ourselves some questions and really be honest
With ourselves.
Do I like where I am financially?
If I keep doing what I have been doing where is it going to get me?
Am I willing to sell my boat or tell my daughter some things have
to be put on hold like Michael did?
Am I willing to lose some friends or family relationships because
they don’t understand what I am doing?
What am I afraid of?
What if I was successful?
How would my life change if I made the kind of money I put down
as my goal?
Other people have done it, why not me?
YES, why not me?
We have the examples, we have the mentors, we have the system.
We really have no excuse.
All it takes is a decision backed by action.
My decision is to “go for it.”
How about you?

Chapter 8 Decisions
The Mastery of Procrastination
The Seventh Step toward Riches
Procrastination, the opposite of Decision, is a common
enemy which practically every person must conquer.
Hill says, “Analysis of several hundred people who had
accumulated fortunes well beyond the million dollar mark,
disclosed the fact that every one of them had the habit of
reaching decisions promptly, and of changing these
decisions slowly, if, and when they were changed. People
who fail to accumulate money, without exception, have the
habit of reaching decisions, if at all, very slowly, and of
changing these decisions quickly and often.
How many of you have gone from company to company
because the last one didn’t work.  We are always trying to
blame something or someone else for our lack of success
whether it is Network Marketing or something else in our
lives.
In network marketing, most people don’t know how to be
successful.  They were recruited by a hard selling
personality or on-line video which easily gets them to
believe - get-rich-quick.  They discover at some point they
are not going to get rich quick in that “opportunity”, they
jump from “opportunity to opportunity”.  Many people have
multiple “opportunities” going at one time, most of these
with promise of riches without personal investment of time,
effort, or money.  They soon find they must actually
upgrade to really have the slightest hope of an income and
have to pay for it.  It soon becomes a cycle of upgrading,
they are continually asked to pay more with the promise of
little effort in leveraging others and a big pay-out.  They
feel since they have given time and dollars to this point,
success is just around the corner, they continue the cycle.
It is very similar to gambling, “if I just make one more bet,
or if I just move to the next machine (“business opportunity”).
The common link between all these people is their lack of
understanding the need to perform “Do Diligence” in
network marketing.  Most of these people have never been
in “any” business and don’t even know what “Do Diligence”
is.  If they have heard the term they don’t have the tools or
knowledge to perform it.  The heavy hitters convince them
they’ve performed it just by listening to their sales pitch or
video introductions to their “opportunity”.  “Do Diligence”
takes time and effort.  Most people are in a hurry and don’t
want to do the work.  So they never do anything.  They may
”decide” to stop before they start, or they “decide”  to take
the word of a fast talking salesperson or on-line video of
false promises.
Bottom line, you must begin to understand the industry,
study the company you are considering or currently in and
make sure you tap into a reliable mentoring system of
education that is willing to give without expectation of return.
Most people who fail to accumulate money sufficient for
their needs, are, generally, easily influenced by the
“opinions” of others. You’ll find almost everyone with
opinions ready to cast them upon anyone willing to accept
them. If you are influenced by “opinions” when you reach
decisions, you will not succeed in any undertaking, much
less in that of transmuting your own desire into its physical
equivalent.
Napoleon Hill says, “Be your own council”, when you begin
to put into practice the principles described in Think &
Grow Rich. “Do Diligence” for any venture would be wise
before engaging.  Be confident in following your own
decisions.  Except for members of your “trusted Master
Mind” group do not be influenced by the opinions of others.
Hill says, “Be very sure in the selection of your group.
Close friends and relatives, while not meaning too; often
handicap one through their “opinions.”
Hill gives many examples of decision making and stead
fast persistence in this chapter by such people as, Lincoln,
Socrates, Gen. Robert E. Lee, signers of the US
Declaration of Independence, John Hancock & Samuel
Adams to name a few.
Think of the logistics and timeline of messages and
communication.  Think of the importance these decisions
were for the United States at that time and how they affect
us today.  If you take the previous sentence into
consideration, don’t you think your correct decision to
actually take time to perform the “5-Pillars of Do Diligence
and select a corresponding mastermind group would be
wise in “your quest for Independence”.
Hill Says, “Throughout this philosophy will be found the
suggestion that thought, backed by strong DESIRE, has a
tendency to transmute itself into its physical equivalent.
In your search for the secret of the method, DO NOT LOOK
FOR A MIRACLE, because you will not find it.  You will find
only the eternal laws of Nature. These laws are available to
every person who has the faith to use them.  There is no
charge save the time necessary to understand and
appropriate them.”
For those of you reading this review, it would be wise to
perform the Do Diligence on your current opportunity and
begin to question, is my company founded on the 5-Pillar
values?  If they are available to me in my current
opportunity, why have I continued to seek help and why
am I here using “Mentoring for Free”.  Perform an honest
inventory and see how many pillars you can line up with
your current opportunity.  Take note of this one fact, if you
are not able to absolutely list pillar #5 than the other four
pillars will not be sufficient for your success.  You will have
a DECISION to make.

CHAPTER 8 DECISION: THE MASTERY OF PROCRASTINATION
The Seventh Step toward Riches
Napoleon Hill suggests there is accurate data to show a lack of decision or procrastination to be one of the main reasons men and women are not successful.
He suggests successful people make decisions promptly and change those decisions slowly, if at all.
If we want to excel in a specific area, we must find a mastermind group.  For us and our home business, this would be Mentoring For Free.  To internalize what Michael and others are teaching, we need to remember that we have two ears and one mouth.  We need to use them in that same ratio.  We can do this most effectively by:
"TELL THE WORLD WHAT YOU INTENDED TO DO, BUT FIRST SHOW IT."
When our country was being formed, there were many examples of men who made decisions by assuming great risk.  These decisions often meant the possibility of death.  The fifty-six men who signed the Declaration of Independence risked death from the British.
John Hancock and Samuel Adams called a meeting of the Provincial Council to have all British solders removed from Boston.  These two men showed their ability to make definite decisions, even in the face of grave danger.  The strength of a mastermind group was demonstrated.
The result of this mastermind group was the signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776.  These men staked their lives on the decision to sign this document.  Fortunately for us today, when we reach a definite decision we will probably not stake our life on that decision, but we will be staking our economic freedom on the decision.
So with the spirit that Samuel Adams demonstrated we must also demonstrate by expecting, planning and demanding outcomes that will lead to our becoming a successful leader of people.
As long as I stay focused on the Mentoring For Free mastermind group, procrastination will be defeated.
Thanks to all who contribute to this mastermind group.

Decision,
How do you spell “indecision”? P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-I-O-N!  And what is Procrastination?
Putting off until tomorrow what can be done today. All too often I get the feeling that I don’t
want to do something right now.  Most of the time it’s because I feel like I don’t have time to
do what I need to do so I put it off rather than get started, yet at the same time, by putting
it off nothing important got accomplished because I did something less important that was quick
and easy which did not carry me to the next step in the direction I needed to go to achieve my
goal. I bet many people have this problem but don’t realize it?
The key to overcoming indecision was touched on in the 7th chapter of Think and Grow Rich in
organized planning.  Whether we do something or not we have made a decision either way.  This
is about making the best decisions to carry us forward to reaching our goals.  If we have an
organized plan we now have a step by step outline of what to do next, eliminating the overwhelming
feeling of not knowing what to do next.
It’s like writing a song, only the challenge is being able to decide on the big picture and where
to strategically place the notes on the staff lines.  The first step is to use our imagination to hear
the melody line then we write the notes in such an arrangement that anyone will be able to play
our song.
To sum it up lets understand that it’s not about indecision it’s about the best decision.  Which
decisions do we need to make on a day to day basis to move us closer to our Network Marketing
goals? Just by writing this lesson is helping me to understand what I need to do to reach the next
step in my Network Marketing business.  The Mentoring For Free System that Michael Dlouhy invented
has eliminated the challenge we all faced in being able to see the big picture. It eliminated the
challenge of having to take our valuable time to reinvent the wheel.  Michael invented a proven
duplicable system whereby anyone can build their Network Marketing organization and then use
that system to duplicate and keep it together once it’s built.
I’ll close by saying; “a failure to plan is a sure plan to fail.” The decision is yours, you can either sit
there doing nothing, because you don’t think you have the time or you can adopt the Mentoring for
Free system and save the time and frustration of having to figure out for yourself what works and
what doesn’t, and start today by building your business the easy way with a proven system.
Regardless if you do or you don’t you have made a decision, but did it benefit you?  That’s for you
to decide!
Thanks’ with all my heart to my good friend and mentor Michael Dlouhy for deciding to take the time
to invent all the necessary components of the Mentoring for Free system that has allowed so many
people worldwide to be able to eliminate years of failure and frustration while building their Network
Marketing businesses.
With Prosperous Regards
Your Mentor and Servant

Chapter 8, DECISION
The Mastery of Procrastination
Procrastination, the lack of decision, is a common enemy which practically every man/woman must conquer.
Mr. Hill writes, " The majority of people who fail to accumulate money sufficient for their needs are generally,
easily influenced by the 'opinions' of others. They permit the newspapers and the 'gossipping' neighbors to do
their 'thinking' for them. 'Opinions' are the cheapest commodities on earth. Everyone has a flock of opinions
to be wished upon anyone who will accept them. If you are influenced by 'opinions' when you reach decisions,
you will not succeed in any undertaking, much less in that of transmuting your own desire into money.
If you are influenced by the opinions of others, you will have no desire of your own.
Keep your own counsel, when you begin to put into practice the principles described here, by reaching your
own decisions, and following them. Take no one into your confidence, except the members of your 'Master-
Mind' group, and be very sure in your selection of this group, that you choose only those who will be in complete
sympathy and harmony with your purpose.
Close friends and relatives, while not meaning to do so, often handicap one through 'opinions' and sometimes
through ridicule, which is meant to be humorous. Thousands of men and women carry inferiority complexes
with them all through life, because some well-meaning, but ignorant person destroyed their confidence through
'opinions' or ridicule.
You have a brain and mind of your own. Use it, and reach your own decisions. If you need facts or information
from other people, to enable you to reach decisions, as you probably will in many instances; acquire these facts
or secure the information you need quietly, without disclosing your purpose.
In your search for the  "secret" of the method, do not look for a miracle, because you will not find it. You will only
the eternal laws of NATURE. These laws are available to every person who has the 'faith and courage' to use them.
They may be used to bring freedom to a nation, or to accumulate riches. There is no charge, save the time
neccessary to understand and appropiate them."
After reading and re-reading several parts of this chapter this time, I am seeing WHY i have made most of the
decisions in my life by the wrong influences-my family and so-called friends who so willing offered THEIR opinions
to me. These people was not in complete 'harmony and sympathy' with my purpose.
As I/we, continue to build our networking marketing business, we must be very careful who we confide in about
the building, the activities and the business portion of it, that they will be a part of our 'Master-Mind' group.
Also, as I/we continue to build, I believe that we need to be in complete sympathy and harmony with the
Infinite Intelligence, which means that we have to forgive those well meaning people that thought that they was
helping us as will as asking for forgiveness for ourselves for doing the same thing to someone else. Remember also,
even if we just 'think it', it could be a sin. So let's keep ALL of our thoughts in the positive nature. My mother always
said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." I believe this goes as well for our thoughts.
With many 'thanks' to all who have 'Master-Minded' this great group,
