CHAPTER 9
PERSISTENCE: THE SUSTAINED EFFORT NECESSARY TO INDUCE FAITH
The Eighth Step toward Riches.
My experiences.
On my past lesson I said, “Many times my decisions were or are controversial and had or have to overcome third people’s opinion because, at the end, is my reality. Feeling scare? Of course but I knew that I had or have to do or make it. My crucial decisions that I took were, and to me they are examples of persistence, viz,
• When I came to The USA, To SUCCESS, with US$ 120.00 in my pocket
• When I got to resign of a job because of discrimination, bullies, etc. attitudes, and I didn’t have any kind of job opportunity offer. Friday August 06, 2010
• When I started two years ago, step by step, my Networking Marketing Business’ knowledge. Either General Knowledge or Specialized Knowledge, my focus has been always to get knowledge and apply it.
• When I enrolled to MFF, 30DMC, again by myself, on Saturday, April 02, 2011
• When I took many turning points in, on, at several aspects of my life on Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 with my English Tutor’s help.
• When I enrolled to MFFPro by myself on Monday September 26, 2011 because to me it is a unique System.
• When my Networking’s Mentors left me alone because of they tried to enroll me to their business opportunity, and I didn’t accept.
• When I decided to work with a Mentor who, for the first time, was the only one who listened to me and resonated with the Success in 10 Steps’ philosophy and teachings. Tuesday June 19, 2012
• Now, I am on the road as networker with a NMB, since Monday, July 16, 2012, as partner and with a heart of service doing it steadily, persistently, relentlessly in a smart way. And using the STB platform.
• And much more.
But, at this point, what persistence is? What it means? What Persistence means to each of us?
Dictionary defines it:
1. The quality, act or fact of persisting; tenacity
2. The act of persisting; continued effort or existence or occurrence
3. The continuance of an effect after the cause of it has stopped
4. The continuance of an effect after its cause is removed.
Master Napoleon says,
• PERSISTENCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FACTOR IN THE PROCEDURE OF TRANSMUTING DESIRE INTO ITS WEALTHY EQUIVALENT. The basis of persistence is the power of will and love in, on and at you do or make
• Will power and desire properly combined make a resistless pair
• Lack of persistence is one of the major causes of FAILURE. Indefiniteness of organized planning, lack of decision and procrastination as well.
• If we find we are weak in persistence, we must carry out consciously the instructions given with regard to the six steps in the chapter “Desire,” also we must center our attention upon the instructions contained in the chapter “Power of Master Mind” group. Besides, we will find additional instructions in the chapter “Autosuggestion,” and in the chapter “The Subconscious Mind”
My point of view about this chapter is that we must get an "Organized Persistence" in order to we can develop the necessary “wealthy consciousness.” How? Well, Master Napoleon says, “The building of a fortune, generally, involves the application of the entire thirteen factors of this philosophy. These principles must be understood, they must be applied with PERSISTENCE by all who accumulate wealth.”
At this point, I am totally focused to improve and follow my English skills, My Why’s, My Three Reasons. I have learned How to Think, not What to Think but being a critical thinker. I have learned I must “empty” my mind and “fill it up” via Success in 10 Steps-book, MFF System, 30 Day-Mental-Cleanse Program, any other personal development information, (…), and doing them steadily, persistently, relentlessly in a smart way.
Allow me to put on your consideration this shuffled - cyclic sequence to learn Master Napoleon’s factors and teachings that I’m trying out now:

Chapter 9 Persistence
Persistence the sustained effort necessary to induce faith.
The eighth Step Toward Riches
Hill says, “The basis of PERSISTENCE is the power of will.”
There is a formula, a recipe for success.
Making a cake without flour just can’t be done, other key
ingredients, milk, sugar, shortening, eggs and more.  Blend “all”
ingredients and bake…
Manifesting your dreams into reality…can’t be done without
first knowing what ingredients are necessary to make it happen.
Making a Dream reality starts with the first ingredient, your
“Why”.  Not just any why, but a why that in fact makes you cry.
The next ingredient is DESIRE, not just any desire, but a
burning desire.  There are six additional ingredients to a
burning desire.  These ingredients can be found in chapter 2.
As we stir in desire we must begin to add faith that our
dreams will be manifested to their physical equivalent.  What
is faith?  Hill says, "Faith is the "external elixir" which gives
life, power, and action to the impulse of thought."…I am what
I say I am.  I have what I say I have regardless of the
evidence.  So what do we add next?
We add AUTOSUGGESTION.  Hill says “mix positive
affirmations of desires with positive emotion and feeling. 
Strong feeling which will strengthen the message passed to
the subconscious”.  Adding this ingredient daily and
repetitively will cause us to reprogram our own mind to take
action in a behavior that will promote our success.  For
example, this affirmation, “I have let go of indecision, doubt
and fear.  I easily approach people with a friendly message
of fun and opportunity.”
Becoming a highly skilled bakery chef requires SPECIALIZED
KNOWLEDGE so to does network marketing/MLM.  Hill says,
“Knowledge will not attract money, unless it is organized, and
intelligently directed, through practical PLANS OF ACTION, to
the definite end of manifesting our desire to its physical
equivalent.  Knowledge is not power, knowledge is only
potential power.  It becomes power only when, and if, it is
organized into definite plans of action, and directed to a
specific end.”  It is my opinion after years struggling with trial
and error in network marketing, now finding “Mentoring For
Free”; I found the Le Cordon Bleu School of mentoring and
education for network marketing/MLM.  This is “the” place
where you and I can learn the skills to grow our network
marketing business regardless of our Company Affiliation.
Next we need a little IMAGINATION and ORGANIZED
PLANNING.  Hill says, “The imagination is literally the
workshop wherein are fashioned all “PLANS” created by man. 
Organized planning is the crystallization of “Desire” into
action.”  Hill says to ally yourself with a trusted group of
people sympathetic with your cause your MASTERMIND
group.  Make sure you add value to the group in return
for their cooperation.
Now we add the ingredient of DECISION.  As we grow our
network marketing business and travel on roads unfamiliar to
our present experience we must make decisions.  If we have
lain a foundation of faith we will easily move past, if not we
will stagnate in procrastination.  This is where application of
the “Principal Ingredients” in manifesting our Dream and a
good mastermind team will help guide us through the obstacles
of our mind.
Hill says Autosuggestion is the cornerstone to the philosophy
of the thirteen principles of which 9 are mentioned in this
review.  The instructions contained in the chapter on auto
suggestion must be applied with unending PERSISTENCE if
we are to transmute our Dreams, our Desire into its Physical
equivalent.
Most people can say the word Persistence, they can
understand its “face” value but they do not come close in
Fathoming its depth.  Hill says “Willpower and Desire” make
an irresistible pair.  If you can come into the possession of
these two, you will master persistence.
I have found the most important ingredient of this recipe is…a
TRUSTED MASTERMIND GROUP.  Your trusted master
mind group will point you to all ingredients for your success;
they will support you when your willpower is vulnerable.  Your
“Well chosen and trusted” master mind group will be there
day in and day out…they will be your roll model.  You will
continue to see those that persistently apply the principles of
the recipe will continue to gain success.  You will come to
know by your own action or by observing others that as Hill
states, “Spasmodic or occasional effort to apply the rules will
be of no value to you. To get results, you must apply all of the
rules until their application becomes a fixed habit with you. In
no other way can you develop the necessary consciousness”
to transmute your desire to its physical equivalent.

I remember as a kid in pre-school I thought that there was a hierarchy in so far as the kids in my class. You see I was in a class with kids who had parents that were doctors, teachers and other professionals.  I would some time watch in envy as they would get dropped off by their parents at school with their nice little super marvel or Disney lunch containers in hand.  And then there was me, I learned as a small kid about alarm clocks.  Many times I was left alone over night so I would have to get myself up at in the morning and make sure I had enough bus fare to get to school in the morning.  Afraid to be late I would get the school very early so i would see all the kids being dropped off by their parents.  I learned very early that these kids with the professional parents would be the ones to succeed.  I watched in class as the teacher always made the kids with the professional parents the class helper, they even called on them to answer the questions.  All I did was get in fights and sit in the corner all day.  I was labeled as a troublemaker and I wore may label very well.
As the years went by even though my home location and environment had change for the best I still carried alot of ideas that I attained while a very small kid.  This idea was that success in life was predicated on where you came from and who your parents were,  I remember my best friend Bobby who lived in the projects . Bobby was so smart that he was skipped 2 grade levels, but to me at the time it didn't mean anything because he lived in the projects.  In my mine he would not amount to anything.
Despite not remembering whether or not I studied very much in high school I still was able to attend college.  I do remember a little secret I kept to myself, which I wanted more than anything in the world and that was to own a business,  However, in my conscious mind I didn’t know if it would happen because I just didn’t come from the right beginnings.  You see I learned very early in life that coming the right beginnings trumped everything one could do in life.  That’s why my desire to become a business owner was a secret because I didn’t anyone to laugh at me or hurt my feelings because I didn’t come from the right beginnings.  Even in college I met someone who I knew from my home town which was over 2000 miles away.  This was one of the kids I considered to have professional parents, because they had a brand new car and apartment one of my college mates made the statement “oh, they must have come from the suburbs and you from the inner city (at the time neither one of us knew that this kid had been working and saving for both the car and apartment). 
Life begin to turned from me I my professional career when I started meeting successful people who had not had the “right beginnings” or “professional parents”. I initially rejected the theory that one could come from meager beginnings and gain success.  Those miracle stories I had read about were few and far between.  However, more and more I met people with my same background and asked how did they become successful and each one told me it was because they wanted more than anything in the world and nothing was going to stop them.  Man I thought to myself so many years of being misguided and even to this day I thank God for his deliverance from that ignorance.
