Beyond the Farm, Part 1
10. (Power of the Mastermind). Whenever two or more
minds join together, a third mind manifests - more
powerful than the sum of the minds which contribute to
it. The Patrons of Husbandry, mentioned in 7., are such
an alliance.
The POWER SOURCE for the Mastermind is always present,
waiting for HARMONIOUS connection. HARMONY is one of
the fundamental Natural Laws by which all Attraction,
Gravity and Vibration operate. It is a characteristic
of the Universe and Universal Mind.
When You plug an electric appliance or tool into a wall
outlet, You are tapping into the enormous power of the
continental grid. The Power of the grid enables Your
device to Manifest the Actions You Desire it to
perform.
Your device must be in HARMONY with the grid; else it
will not function, its circuits will burn up, or it may
explode. If Your device operates on 12 volts of
electrical pressure with the electrons flowing in one
continuous direction, then You cannot plug it directly
into a grid of 120 volts with the electrons alternating
direction 60 times per second (North American grid).
Likewise, a device designed for the North American grid
will not operate on the European grid of 230 V and 50
Hz.
In either case a transformer must be used to bring the
device and grid into Harmony.
When connecting the working device of Your SUBCONSCIOUS
MIND to the POWER of the Mastermind, You must use Your
CONSCIOUS WILLPOWER to Transform Your VIBRATION into
compatible HARMONY.
SELF-TALK feeds Suggestions to Your Subconscious to
tune its frequency.
Your Friend and Servant,
Ken Klemm - Florida, USA
P.S. 10. This Mastermind operates in POSITIVE Emotional
Polarity. Those who persist in a Negative state are
soon repelled. Too many Negative Minds could force the
polarity of the Mastermind into destructive Energy,
equal in proportion to its Creative potential.

The Habit of Success by Earl Nightingale

The Habit of Success by Earl Nightingale

Do each day all that can be done that day. You don’t need to overwork or to rush blindly into your work trying to do the greatest possible number of things in the shortest possible time. Don’t try to do tomorrow’s or next week’s work today. It’s not the number of things you do, but the quality, the efficiency of each separate action, that counts.

To achieve this “habit of success,” you need only to focus on the most important tasks and succeed in each small task of each day. Enough of these, and you have a successful week, month, year and lifetime. Success is not a matter of luck. It can be predicted and guaranteed, and anyone can achieve it by following this plan.

But most people live a life of quiet mediocrity and never achieve the success they truly desire because they get impatient. They want easy success, or none at all. They see the path to success as a frustration, an impediment. Each day spent short of the ultimate goal is viewed as a time of failure and as an annoyance. As such, they get distracted by hundreds of little things that each day try to get us off our course. Yet the successful among us know the truth: If the end goal is all we desire, we simply cannot put in the time and effort it takes to be a success when it counts—each day—and therefore cannot lay the foundation for tomorrow’s success.

Pay no attention to petty distractions. Enjoy the easy days and shake off the bad days. Stay steadily on your track. Concentrate on each task of the day from morning to night and do each as successfully as you can. Know full well that if each of your tasks is performed successfully, or at least the greater majority of them, your life must be successful.

From Jim Rohn;s newsletter as appeared by Earl Nightingale a good post on doing what has to be done and getting a litte better every day.

The Qualities of Skillful Leadership by Jim Rohn

The Qualities of Skillful Leadership by Jim Rohn

If you want to be a leader who attracts quality people, the key is to become a person of quality yourself. Leadership is the ability to attract someone to the gifts, skills, and opportunities you offer as an owner, as a manager, as a parent. I call leadership the great challenge of life.

What’s important in leadership is refining your skills. All great leaders keep working on themselves until they become effective. Here are some specifics:
Learn to be strong but not rude. It is an extra step you must take to become a powerful, capable leader with a wide range of reach. Some people mistake rudeness for strength. It’s not even a good substitute.

Learn to be kind but not weak. We must not mistake kindness for weakness. Kindness isn’t weak. Kindness is a certain type of strength. We must be kind enough to tell somebody the truth. We must be kind enough and considerate enough to lay it on the line. We must be kind enough to tell it like it is and not deal in delusion.

Learn to be bold but not a bully. It takes boldness to win the day. To build your influence, you’ve got to walk in front of your group. You’ve got to be willing to take the first arrow, tackle the first problem, discover the first sign of trouble.

You’ve got to learn to be humble, but not timid. You can’t get to the high life by being timid. Some people mistake timidity for humility. Humility is almost a God-like word. A sense of awe. A sense of wonder. An awareness of the human soul and spirit. An understanding that there is something unique about the human drama versus the rest of life. Humility is a grasp of the distance between us and the stars, yet having the feeling that we’re part of the stars. So humility is a virtue; but timidity is a disease. Timidity is an affliction. It can be cured, but it is a problem.

Be proud but not arrogant. It takes pride to win the day. It takes pride to build your ambition. It takes pride in community. It takes pride in cause, in accomplishment. But the key to becoming a good leader is being proud without being arrogant. In fact I believe the worst kind of arrogance is arrogance from ignorance. It’s when you don’t know that you don’t know. Now that kind of arrogance is intolerable. If someone is smart and arrogant, we can tolerate that. But if someone is ignorant and arrogant, that’s just too much to take.

Develop humor without folly. That’s important for a leader. In leadership, we learn that it’s okay to be witty, but not silly. It’s okay to be fun, but not foolish.

Lastly, deal in realities. Deal in truth. Save yourself the agony. Just accept life like it is. Life is unique. Some people call it tragic, but I’d like to think it’s unique. The whole drama of life is unique. It’s fascinating. And I’ve found that the skills that work well for one leader may not work at all for another. But the fundamental skills of leadership can be adapted to work well for just about everyone: at work, in the community, and at home.
