DESIRE
THE STARTING POINT OF ALL ACHIEVEMENT
The First Step toward Riches
For the first time in my life, I am associated with a company that I honestly believe I can achieve my goals with. I’ve been in 3 other companies before this one and in the first 2, I had a WANT for more riches, but no real initiative to acquire them. There was no vision for me with the first 2 companies and no mentor to really help me understand how to build a vision of my dreams. Heck, I barely even got customer support from them.
The third company helped to teach me how to become a leader, which of course, I’m still working on every day. They helped me to set my goals and understand that I was really WORTH something. I will be forever grateful to those people and am still a part of them today. They also had excellent customer service as well and were very helpful with any questions I had. Still, for me, the DESIRE wasn’t there yet. I felt as if I was still “waiting” for something to happen. The products were great, in my opinion. But I couldn’t even get my parents interested in them enough to check them out, let alone people I didn’t know yet.
The company I am in now has all of the great things that the third company had, but with more momentum. I am hearing all over about how this company is changing people’s lives and I know that I will be among the testimonials of lives that have been changed soon! I now have the vision, the DESIRE, the momentum and the support of both mentors and an excellent customer service behind me and for the first time since I joined my first network marketing company, I’ve got customers who are coming to ME, I’m planning on going to company conventions, I’m contacting people who have done what I intend to do and I’m having a BLAST!
All the fun that I’m having has instilled in me the DESIRE to do even more. Things are happening very fast now and it’s been an amazing ride. At first, it didn’t seem like anything was happening, but I didn’t give up, I just kept hanging in there despite the appearances. I kept the vision of what I wanted in my head and felt what it would feel like when I accomplished it in my heart and now it’s happening! DESIRE truly is the first step toward riches.

All network marketers have a burning desire or really do they?
We all dream of having a check come to our door monthly with an amount big enough to pay all our bills.
They call this residual income and personal freedom.
But how do we tell if our burning desire is truly a burning desire or just a nice wish or dream.
Here are some of the good signs which indicate we have a burning desire.
(1) When you do that extra bit more when you are exhausted.
(2) Being close to the fire and attending all our Mentoring for Free skills calls and listening to the recording if we could not be on the call live.
(3) Helping all our team members reach their goals.
(4) Doing our follow up calls with people who have downloaded our e-Book.
(5) Writing our lesson plan for the Wednesday Mental Cleanse calls.
(6) Speaking up on all our calls no matter how hard it may seem.
(7) Doing all our personal training by learning from those who have gone before us by listening to the training recording in the Mentoring for Free archives.
(8) Learning and practicing the 25 skills which Tom “Big Al” Schreiter has taught us.
(9) Using all the products and services that our company has by becoming a product of the product.
(10) Sharing all our products with others and seeing if they would want to also use them.
(11) Getting out of our comfort zone as our fear are only ghosts.

THE STARTING POINT OF ALL ACHIEVEMENT
The First Step toward Riches
Mere wishing will not bring or attract riches, it goes much deeper, it is a state of mind. It starts with a Burning Desire that grows and possesses to the point that plans are made and followed through with great persistence. If I truly desire money, or some other thing of great value, it has to become an obsession so that I can convince and convict myself that it will become mine!
I must become money conscious, so thoroughly convinced by my Burning Desire that I am already in possession of it. It certainly sounds like an “All In” process to me. The steps that I need to take are not what most would call spectacular, anyone with the Desire, imagination and Persistence to carry through a plan can do this. This reminds me of what Michael said about self-talk. When people ask him his secret and he tells them to say their positive self-talk 400 times a day or more, they either don’t believe him or they just figure it can’t be that easy, whatever the case the results are the same. I think part of it is, people truly don’t want that success bad enough.
Hill tells us that I will NEVER have riches in great quantities UNLESS I can work myself into a White Heat (wow, that is Hot) Desire for the money and actually Believe, knowing with a surety that I will possess it!
This paragraph from Hill’s lesson really had me thinking: Remember, too, that all who succeed in life get off to a bad start, and pass through many heartbreaking struggles before they “arrive.” The turning point in the lives of those who succeed, usually comes at the moment of some crisis, through which they are introduced to their “other selves.” I really have to become (go through the process, whatever it takes) the person who endures relentlessly to obtain my goal. Yes, that can be life changing, it certainly will add steel to my character, making me stronger, almost a different person. I truly believe that I am becoming that person, with God’s help and the awakening that MFF has provided me with.
Desire backed by Faith pushes reason aside and inspires one to Endure. Mother Nature, nor mere man is no match for such a person who has these qualities!

Last week we talk about how thoughts are things, and I explained why it is critical develop a well-crafted self-talk said 400 times per day in order to become the person that people want to join in business. So, this week I will give you the key ingredient that you need to create a well crafted self-talk that will serve you in reaching your destiny. That secret ingredient is a burning Desire.
I've just come to more fully understand the purpose of developing "Why that makes you cry". See, if we can find the events or situations in my lives that caused the most pain for ourselves and those we love, then we can find the Burning Desire to do whatever it takes to install and act upon the positive emotions that are necessary to change defeat into success. The Burning Desire comes from the pain you experienced that makes your "Why" so strong that you would walk over hot coals or broken glass to make your Burning Desire happen.
I'll never forget the pain my kids went through during all those years that I struggled. And that pain from the past, Now turned in Love, Faith, Hope, Desire, Enthusiasm, Sex, Romance and Prosperity is what backs my Burning Desire to enthusiastically build the largest, most profitable, highest retention organization in the history of network marketing through top notch training and the power of the mastermind. What fuels my Burning Desire is my unstoppable enthusiasm in helping great people like you to be, do and have more.

CHAPTER 2: DESIRE
I have a lot of desires, but not many have become realities in my life. Why??
I've done the exercise Mr. Hill has given us in this chapter, many times, but
nothing has come of it. Why??
I've set many clear goals, but haven't achieved them. Why??
I was talking to Ian one day about my feeling that I'm not getting anywhere.
He said it's probably because I have so many interests. Aha!!!
In this chapter on Desire, Mr. Hill uses terms such as:
~ FIX in your mind
~ EXACT amount of money
~ DEFINITE date
~ DEFINITE plan
~ CLEAR, CONCISE statement
~ CLEARLY describe
The sun cannot start a piece of paper on fire until it is forced through a glass
lens. The Niagara River couldn't provide electricity for scores of communities
if it didn't hurl with thunderous force over the precipice. Michael and Linda
wouldn't be where they are today if they weren't laser focused on the
strategies they teach us for building our businesses.
It's not a bad thing to have many interests. But it's not the way to success.
It diffuses my efforts and my energies, and fogs up my clarity. There will be
plenty of time to pursue some of those interests AFTER I am successful in my
business.
