CHAPTER 3
FAITH: VISUALIZATION OF, AND BELIEF IN ATTAINMENT OF DESIRE
The Second Step toward Riches
Faith, where do I begin. It starts with a “thought” a seedling. It is nurtured and cared for just as a newborn child. It takes more effort and attention in its infancy. As the infant thought grows, fed and nurtured daily, it becomes more independent and needs less prompting. This is the way I have found it to be with my self-talk, my auto-suggestion. My love and passion for that child grows as the child grows, as does my self-talk, I have had to feed that fire, keep it stoked to develop that relentless passion and persistence with my self-talk.
This “love child” thought grows best in a positive environment, so being positive and staying positive, No Matter What is imperative to that child’s healthy growth. A negative attitude will never bring me or my “child” success, it will just magnetize more doom and gloom negativity in my life and in the lives of others around me. Yes, I get to choose how and what I think, but the results do affect others!
I believe and have faith in my “love child”, I believe in them until they are mature enough to believe in themself. I make plans for my “love child” and put those plans into action, to ensure his success, because his success is very important to me! I will consistently implant positive, healthy thoughts into the mind of my child, to train him to grow up to be successful in all areas of his life. I know that we pick up and register vibrations of thought from our daily environment, so I make my child aware of this and provide a good environment for him.
I will share and implant this step of the self-confidence formula into my child’s being:
“No wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice, therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.”
So I will Desire the Best for my Child, I will nurture and love him with great passion, guiding and caring for his development and having Faith, knowing I have done all I could and that things Will Work Out Well, no doubt about it!!!

Faith
During the last cycle I closed this lesson with the words:
“But now I have the faith I'll see it - it's just a matter of time.”
Oh yes, a lot has changed! Things began moving; things far beyond my control, out of my direct control … as I thought.
Have you ever seen the movie “Sleepless in Seattle”?
First, without any knowledge about those things Hill is talking about, it was just a nice story to me. But with this knowledge I found out that it is one of the greatest examples of the reaction of the universe upon a thought of a single mind.
In this case it's the thought of the eight year old sun of a widower and he came to the conclusion that his father should look for a new wife to rebalance their lives.
This little boy has an unwavering faith that this is the right thing and that he can influence it. And truly “FAITH is the "eternal elixir" which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought!” For this he took action.
Keeping his faith – even when experiencing that nothing happens immediately – and by being open to the answers of the universe (talking through feelings) he adjusted his plan and took further action.
It's fascinating how things emerge step by step. Oh, of course we also can see that the universe has its own wisdom and follows paths we never knew they even existed. Further we can learn how often we come within a whisker of the final solution, sometimes without being aware of it.
The boy kept his faith although all odds have been against him and his master mind group had shrunk to a single member, his girl friend. This kept him going. The way the opportunity was opened for him to travel across the country first seemed a bit farfetched. But after have coming across the books of Hill, Allen etc. I simply call it an unexpected solution. And everybody who has experienced a situation when everything seems to fall in place knows how energizing this is and how easy it is to keep the faith during this period.
But even in the end when it looks like his plan has failed he kept the faith. He kept it in a situation most of us would have given up already. Of course – as so often – the moment of truth, accomplishment, and surprise is near.
What did I learn from it?
Never give up. - Never ever lose faith.
There is always something moving already to my advantage, something I cannot perceive right now with my senses.
It is the time to remember that “...FAITH is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind ...” that it's time for my self talk to reinforce my faith.
And then take action, keep going and be patient.

FAITH IS THE HEAD CHEMIST of the mind. When FAITH is blended with the vibration of thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent, and transmits it to Infinite Intelligence, as in the case of prayer.
FAITH is the "eternal elixir" which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought!
The foregoing sentence is worth reading a second time, and a third, and a fourth. It is worth reading aloud!
FAITH is the starting point of all accumulation of riches!
FAITH is the basis of all "miracles," and all mysteries which cannot be analyzed by the rules of science!
FAITH is the only known antidote for FAILURE!
FAITH is the element, the "chemical" which, when mixed with prayer gives one direct communication with Infinite Intelligence.
FAITH is the element which transforms the ordinary vibration of thought, created by the finite mind of man, into the spiritual equivalent.
FAITH is the only agency through which the cosmic force of Infinite Intelligence can be harnessed and used by man.
EVERY ONE OF THE FOREGOING STATEMENTS IS CAPABLE OF PROOF!
Comes, now, a very significant statement of truth:
THOUGHTS WHICH ARE MIXED WITH ANY OF THE FEELINGS OF EMOTIONS CONSTITUTE A "MAGNETIC" FORCE WHICH ATTRACTS, FROM THE VIBRATIONS OF THE EITHER, OTHER SIMILAR, OR RELATED THOUGHTS.
