Chapter 3, FAITH
Visualization of and Belief in Attainment of Desire
"Repetition of affirmation of orders to your subconscious mind is the only known method of voluntary
development of the emotion of faith."
"The emotions, or the "feeling" portion of thoughts, are the factors which give thoughts vitality, life, and
action. The emotions of faith, love and sex, when mixed with any thought impulse, give it greater action
than any of these emotions can do singly."
"Not only thought impulses which have been mixed with faith, but those which have been mixed with any
of the positive emotions, or any of the negative emotions, may reach and influence the subconscious
mind."
"There are millions of people who believe themselves "doomed" to poverty and failure, because of some
strange force over which they believe they have no control. They are the creators of their own "misfortunes,"
because of this negative belief, which is picked up by the subconscious mind, and translated into its
physical equivalent."
"A mind dominated by positive emotions becomes a favorable abode for the state of mind know as faith. A
mind so dominated may, at will, give the subconscious mind instructions, which it will accept and act upon
immediately."
Again, I find another task that Mr. Hills points out to us in this chapter that I haven't done yet. "Self-Conidence
Formula," I need to sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory, and repeat it aloud once a day, with
full faith that it will gradually influence my thoughts and actions so that I will become a self-reliant and
successful person.
With love and gratitude to Michael, Linda and all the people in the 30 Day Mental Cleanse, thank you for
your lessons shared.

Chapter 3
Faith
Having faith is very important in every part of our life.
We have to find it within ourselves, deep into our hearts, what kind of person we want to be.
We have to take control of our own life and have the faith we are going to get what we want.
Making sure we continue to grow with baby steps each and everyday.
Every man is what he is through the dominating thoughts he permits to occupy his mind. Which
direct and control his every movement.
Any idea, plan or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought. This is why
it is important to write out a statement of your major purpose, commit it to memory and repeat
it aloud until our subconscious mind is convinced.
We must have positive emotions at all times in order to succeed. Once we have enough faith to
work toward becoming the person we want to be, no negative emotions will be able to come in
and have us question our thoughts and desires.
Success begins with a person’s will. The person who knows he can.
Thank you Michael, Linda and the Mastermind Team for being here for those of us who are willing
to work to find the faith within ourselves to be who we want to be.
With Love and Appreciation

From this statement, you will understand that the subconscious mind will
translate into its physical equivalent, a thought impulse of a negative or
destructive nature, just as readily as it will act upon thought impulses of a
positive or constructive nature. This accounts for the strange phenomenon
which so many millions of people experience, referred to as misfortune,” or
“bad luck.” There are millions of people who BELIEVE themselves doomed
to poverty and failure, because of some strange force over which they
BELIEVE they have no control. They are the creators of their own
misfortunes,” because of this negative BELIEF, which is picked up by the
subconscious mind, and translated into its physical equivalent.
Stories of survival always fascinate me, whenever I can get a chance to hear a story or even watch a documentary about one I do. I remember a month a so ago I watched a documentary about 3 WWll soldiers whose plane had crashed in the Pacific ocean. The men were set a drift on a
small boat for 47 days. Being stranded on a raft in the ocean is enough to do most people in. Also as I watched the documentary the little food and water supply quickly disappeared and I thought surely 1 of the 3 would not make it. Since there was no water or food I surely thought it couldn't get any worse than that, but it did. Sharks suddenly began to circle the raft on a regular basis and the men used the paddles to fight them off. No food or water and shark circling the raft it look pretty bleak for the soldiers. Suddenly the men got an idea to kill a shark and eat it, for a couple of days the men were satiated. A couple of days later the men were without food and water again. Despondent and hungry the men heard a plane and shot off their last flare to gain the passengers attention. The plane did come in their direction but it started to shoot at the men in the raft. The men pretended to be dead so that the plane would stop shooting. The plane went away however bullets had damaged the raft and it started to sink. On top of this the sharks started their circling act again. One of men without a minutes notice went to a repair kit and found puddy to men the hole as another man fought off the sharks. The men also survived this segment of misfortune. However, one of the men who honestly didn't appear to have the thirst to live soon succumb to starvation and died. The other two buried at sea, strangely enough as stated by the narrator the other men never considered cannibalism. Hungry and starving days later the men looked out to sea and saw land. Happy and delighted the men paddle towards the land but before the made it to land they were in what was described as a hurricane which almost tilted the raft over. Wow, they made it I thought and it made me feel so so good to see them make it to land. However, when they made it to land it was enemy territory and they were placed into a concentration camp into the war ended. Man, this was not a story book ending, no one would want to see this at the movies.
I was somewhat mad about the ending because it was anticlimactic in my opinion. However, the story stayed on my mind for weeks. This is some real life stuff I thought to myself, and it finally hit me that this event chronicled the life of Believers. The thing was that I watched this in a documentary, it already happened. I pretty much knew what the out come would be, but those men who were involved in the situation at the time didn't have a crystal ball to look into the future. But they did have their Faith and the desire to live. The strength of the latter two determined what men would live and who would die. More importantly my take away from this story was that the winners in life are those who truly believe that no matter what the situation is they will gain victory. Also in the midst of hard times the Faithful don't sit and let the ship sink they take action.

Chapter 3 - Faith
Faith: To hold steadfast that we will receive from the Lord what we NEED...not necessarily what we want...and feel content with that.
Faith: To know that even when we are feeling low, that we will never be lead astray from the Lord.
Faith: To love the Lord UNCONDITIONALLY especially when things in our life turn upside down which in and of itself is nothing more than another test from God.
Faith: To hold the ability to continue moving forward with our goals and desires after a short period of feeling low which we all have a right to.
Faith: To know and always hold in our hearts that the Lord ALWAYS has our best interest at heart.
Faith: To be patient and know that God will deliver what we need on HIS watch. Not on ours since he knows "when" it is best for us to receive our desires.
A quote from the Holy Bible - "Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart." ~ Psalm 37:4
I do not struggle with my religious beliefs as I'm a devout Christian. I do, however, struggle from day-to-day with doubts if I am doing what God has called me to do. I have epilepsy for a reason and am home-bound for a reason. And being home-bound as far as I have experienced, is not conducive to being successful in the businesses I have tried so far. Am I being impatient? Absolutely! Am I wanting results yesterday? Absolutely as money in my world is only a conduit to what I truly want to achieve. It (money) is essentially a "tool" to get me from point A to point B. And most of my goals that require lots of money are to serve God. IE: To donate my time to St Jude's hospital and hand out toys on Christmas Day and give the parents a break. To buy and serve food in a food kitchen on Thanksgiving day. To give my time to animal shelters across the U.S. and donate ionized water units to shelters that see the value. (These units are $4,000.00 each.) In order to attain / give back, I need to acquire lots of money. I do NOT hold a passion for my business. I hold a passion for the things I want to do after becoming successful in my business which can bring me monetary wealth. To reiterate...money is a conduit for me. Nothing more. I am not about the 2 million dollar mansion, Rolex watch or Maserati. Yes...I have personal desires such as a custom home. In fact, that's my biggest personal goal as far as expenses are concerned and I do not believe that will be a million dollar home. My biggest personal will not cost me a dime and that is to get married.
So back to Faith. Do I have unwavering Faith that I will succeed in my business? I don't know? I can't say I do only because of my personal circumstances. I work on my personal development every day and work over 60 hours a week on my business. But I find myself spinning my wheels. So I continue to pray daily and hold the Faith that my goals, dreams and desires, both personal and philanthropically, (to give back), will come to fruition.
With Gods Love and Light,

Think & Grow Rich, Chapter 3. Faith
Visualization of and Belief in Attainment of Desire
The Second Step toward Riches
Hill says all these principles in “Think & Grow Rich” are
one philosophy and as we read and study each principle
one begins to see how each interacts with the other. I
have made a note of several as they appear in this chapter
alone.
How to Develop Faith
First, we must make a “Decision” (principle 7) to do so.
Faith is a state of mind which may be induced, or created,
by affirmation or repeated instructions to the "Subconscious
Mind" (principle 11), through "Autosuggestion" (principle 3).
We cannot hesitate on the fence; we must decide to take
this action. Do not wait until tomorrow because it is “ALWAYS”
today.
Follow this idea. Our quest is to acquire the ability to
transmute the intangible thought impulse of our “Desire”
(principle 1) into its physical counterpart. By following the
instructions laid down in the chapters on Autosuggestion,
and the Subconscious Mind, one may convince the
Subconscious Mind that we’ll receive that for which we ask,
which our subconscious mind passes back to us in the form of
“Faith.” I am what I say I am regardless of the evidence.
Follow that with definite “Plans” (principle 6) for procuring that
which you desire. This whole idea must be backed by Persistence
(principle 8). Hill says the reason most men do not obtain their
hearts desire is because they stop short of the desired goal, a
good example in chapter 1, stopping 3 feet from gold.
So many people will read a book like this and understand
the instruction but never really follow the instruction. We
just read the next book. Here is what you must do, stop
and apply the instruction. Giving orders to our
subconscious through Autosuggestion is a practice that
must be done hundreds of times through daily repetition.
Hill says, “Perfection will come through practice”.
Remember, the thirteen basic principles of this philosophy
easily fit together but to make them work for us, we must
do the work specifically outlined in this book.
Hill says, “Faith is the only know antidote for failure.
Every person is what they are because of the dominating
thoughts they permit to occupy their mind.” Do you "truly"
have faith in yourself to succeed in Network Marketing?
Think bout it. Think about what faith is. Read and apply
the instruction on acquiring faith.
The stronger the emotion in our Autosuggestion the stronger
the attraction of similar thought. Be watchful, fearful
thoughts attract fearful thought. You can stop this by
becoming aware. Positive thought through positive auto
suggestion will attract similar thought. But you must work
at it and never stop. Whats that you say, "Sounds like hard
work and a long time." No, it's called changing your life to
receive what you want. It is different than wishing and
waiting for things to change. It is taking responsibility & action.
We don’t do what needs to be done because our
confidence lies in what other people think of us. We have
already decided what someone else will think and not even
given them there right to choose. Here is an idea. Since
we all like to be right, why don’t we just do what needs to
be done to be successful in our business, take the appropriate
action we're taught. The worst that will happen is we’ll be
right about what others think and each time we’re wrong we’ll
be a step closer to manifesting our desire.
Hill says, “Resolve to throw off the influences of any unfortunate
environment, and to build your own life to order. Take an
honest personal inventory and we'll discover that our
greatest weakness is lack of self-confidence." There is a
formula for self-confidence in this chapter. We must read
and apply this formula daily.
Hill talks about a new faith in business because of leaders
who understand the principles of men like Mahatma Gandhi.
Hill says, "The watchwords of the future will be human
happiness and contentment." This can now be seen in many
excellent companies in our industry. “Mentoring for Free”
leaders teach the 5-Pillars of Do Diligence aiding network
marketers to identify the kind of companies and leadership
Hill speaks of.
