I start off this lesson by quoting Hill in saying “AUTO-SUGGESTION is a term which applies to all suggestions and all self-administered stimuli which reaches one’s mind through the five senses. Stated in another way, autosuggestion is self-suggestion. It is the agency of communication between that part of the mind where conscious thought takes place, and that which serves as the seat of action for the subconscious mind.
Through the dominating thoughts which one permits to remain in the conscious mind, (whether these thoughts be negative or positive, is immaterial), the principle of auto-suggestion voluntarily reaches the subconscious mind and influences it with these thoughts.” The key here that is often over looked by many that have read this chapter is in this first paragraph. This paragraph is telling us that we have a choice.
We are in control; We can do something about the dominating thoughts which we permit to remain in our conscious mind. The key is in the words, “ONE PERMITS TO REMAIN” This is telling us that we have a choice to eliminate anything we do not wish to remain there through the use of auto suggestion.
In Mentoring for Free we call it Self Talk. Simply by saying our self-talk over and over hundreds of times a day we own the software to reprogram our human computer to perform any function we wish it to perform. Do you want to be a successful Networking Professional?
Then take Michael Dlouhys advice and say your self talk like a doctor had prescribed it. Say it over and over again until it sinks in and pushes the old programs out of the way and eliminating their influence.
The more you say a thing the more you will begin to believe it and the more you believe it the more you start to act on it automatically because it becomes a part of who you are. It could even be a lie if you chose to subject yourself to such a notion.
I personally have taken Michael’s self-talk and modified it slightly by adding “I am excited” to the beginning. “I am excited and having fun building the largest most profitable organization ever built in the history of networking marketing easily effortlessly and consistently through education and team work.” I dare say if everybody memorized this script and everybody started using it every day things would begin to happen like magic in the lives of the conductors.
