CHAPTER 10 - POWER OF THE MASTER MIND - ***THE DRIVING FORCE
The Ninth Step toward Riches
This Chapter not only speaks of The Mastermind, it speaks of the POWER of the MASTERMIND! This is very significant! Power is Necessary to Have Money and Power is Also Necessary to Keep Money! This definition of the Mastermind: “Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.” Sounds like a marriage made in heaven, right. Well it is a type of marriage. One cannot have a great marriage if only one is committed to this union of needed harmony. By the same token, one cannot have “GREAT” power without using a Mastermind! No man is an Island, comes to mind here.
I like this statement as an even more accurate description of the Mastermind, “Economic advantages may be created by any person who surrounds himself with the advice, counsel, and personal cooperation of a group of men (people) who are willing to lend him wholehearted aid, in a spirit of PERFECT HARMONY.” This is the economic side of the Master Mind.
Now the psychic side is the life changing side (to me), it is an awesome power! “No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.” Wow, what a math equation…1 + 1=3!!! Sounds like a great investment to me!
When I started understanding that my mind is energy and spiritual in nature, I understood more clearly why Jesus asked his followers to be one in thought and speech. Just as there is power in numbers and strength in a 3 corded rope, these harmonious minds form a bond, an affinity. This is a dictionary definition of affinity, “a natural liking for or attraction to a person, thing, idea, etc.” (a person, thing, idea, etc., for which such a natural liking or attraction is felt.)
The imagery given in the two streams, one being positive, leading to success and fortune, the other being negative, leading to poverty and mediocrity have been implanted on my mind. I want to follow those who are in harmony with my thoughts and goals of success, who think positive, who WORK at staying Positive, keeping themselves in the good side of the stream. The Mastermind is very much like a lifeline thrown to those in the negative stream, however they have to “choose” to grab the lifeline and do what it takes to stay in the positive stream. My hope is that more people will come to the realization that they are worthy to be in the positive stream, that they will open their eyes and see that lifeline being tossed to them. In turn as the Mastermind grows both in numbers and Power, we can send a shining beacon to those who are looking for help!

THE DRIVING FORCE
The Ninth Step toward Riches
Since this is a chapter on power of the mastermind. I shared my thoughts of this chapter with my
husband and he gave me his ideas on my thoughts.
Together we came up with a very good example of how we thought the mastermind team
worked with Mentoring For Free.
Michael Dlouhy had the idea to focus on figuring out how to succeed in network marketing.
He gathered together different pieces of information about what was being taught in network marketing.
After studying the pieces of information, he decided which pieces fit and which ones did not.
Then he painted a picture in his mind of how to succeed at network marketing.
After painting this picture in his mind, knowing how important a mastermind team was, he then shared
what he had discovered with his family. Which now his picture had four people in his mastermind group.
Now let’s look at this like it is a puzzle.
So now this picture has been cut into a four piece puzzle giving it four corners.
Michael decided at this point to share with other people what he had discovered, while painting his picture.
Having the confidence on the knowledge he had obtained, Michael and his family spread these four corners
out and decided to turn it into a million piece puzzle.
In order to create the straight edges to connect the corners Michael needed leaders.
The Mentoring For Free recipe being the picture of his puzzle. Michael started sharing with people what
he had discovered and chose to share his picture with anyone who wanted to look at it.
As people became fascinated with this picture he had painted, and learned they could paint it also, they
wanted a copy of his picture to put in their homes.
While people were learning how to paint Michael’s picture, they were also sharing it with other people. Before
you knew it Michael had started building his leaders to connect the corners.
It is now time to continue to share this picture with even more people, in order to fill in all the pieces to
complete his million piece puzzle.
Michael knew by teaching other people how to paint this picture, he was also teaching them how to make
their own million piece puzzle.
As people learned how to paint this same picture, they were molding themselves into an important piece of
the puzzle.
And while people are learning to think for themselves and becoming part of Michael’s puzzle, they are becoming
the first corner of their own puzzle.
Because this system is so duplicatable, people can choose if their own puzzle is a 500 piece puzzle or a million
piece puzzle.
The Mentoring For Free system is a gorgeous picture of who we want to become and because of this we are
able to see the picture of the finalization of our own puzzle.
Just like any other puzzle Michael has given us his picture, so we can lay it down and look at it.
Then he gives us step by step instructions, and makes himself available to each one of us for when we need
the instructions explained in more detail.
Through this process he teaches us how to find the pieces, which will fit into our puzzle, so we can take our
own puzzle to its completion.
As a bonus, he shows us how to place our puzzle on the right foundation so it will last us 100 years.
So, let me ask you this question. If a million people said the same self-talk 200 times a day and sent the
same message out to the universe, what kind of impact would it have?
Michael and Linda are where Mike and I want to be. How many times have we heard “In order to be where
we want to be, we need to associate with people who have what we want, and do what they do?”
Even though I personally have many self-talks I do a day, I still say Michael’s self-talk 200 times a day,
because I know he is also saying his self-talk at least 200 times a day.
Each time we are on this chapter someone challenges us to do something together. Mike and I would like to
challenge everyone to say Michael’s self-talk 200 times a day for one week and see the impact it makes in our
purpose of doing the Mentoring For Free system.
Just a reminder of Michael’s self-talk:
I AM having fun, building the largest, most profitable, highest retention organization, ever built, in the history
of network marketing, easily and consistently, through education and teamwork.
You must say this self-talk with an excited feeling and faith!
You can change the first part, as an example to, I AM having a great time (green), I AM absolutely loving (yellow),
I AM having success (red) etc. But the rest has to stay the same in order for us to have the harmony of sending
the same exact message.

Our thoughts have amazing power.
Last night I had the pleasure of attending a football match. I live in Australia in the state of Victoria. The football code played here is Aussie rules football. The game can be considered as a cross between soccer and rugby with a bit of grid iron thrown in. The amazing part is there is no protective padding for the players.
The purpose of this post is to highlight the power of our thoughts. I had the pleasure of watching the game with my cousins whom I have virtually grown up with. So I considered we would probably have similar thoughts. To cut a long story short the game was between the North Melbourne Kangaroos and The Carlton Blues. The two teams were evenly matched and at similar positions on the ladder of success for the year 2012. The winner would probably play in the final series while the loser would struggle to make it. So there was a great deal riding on the game.
It all started with the dammed traffic and the struggle to find a car parking spot. Normally this is a piece of cake. However with the big build up we struggled to get a car parking spot. We looked around for what seemed an eternity. Of course we were getting flustered and decided to just go into the main car park and pay the $20 so that we could see the start of the game. To our amazement even the car park was full. Just us we were about to give up a lovely young lady vacated a spot and allowed us to park in the spot she vacated. To even add to the generosity she gave us her ticket. Of course we were very grateful.
I saw this as a really positive omen and told my cousins we would win the game. They both had reservations! So much so that at the first quarter break when the score read Kangaroos 6 goals 1 37 to Blues 3 goals 2 20 or something like that they were not confident we would win. Oh I forgot to add they both follow the kangaroos as well yet you wouldn't thinks so.
At half time the blues had put up somewhat of a fightback and looked like they would make a game of it. My cousins believed they would and that the kangaroos would eventually lose.
At three quarter time the kangaroos had taken control of the game and were leading by 55 point or something like that. Now here is the interesting part both my cousins still believed we would lose? I said guys you kidding me we will by 60 points plus.
The final results was a win by 53 points to The Kangaroos.
The power of thoughts kicked in as we were driving home. I was the driver and I had my cousin the lawyer and perhaps someone who had heaps of influence of us during our childhood telling me where to turn and all the cars to watch out for? I started to see red! I told him to relax and enjoy the drive because I knew the road. I remember suddenly feeling confused and doubting myself as I drove home. it was like my mind went into a blur of negativity. I had traveled this road hundreds of times and yet tonight it was like I was learning to drive all over again.
The more I tried to reassure my cousin that it was OK and to just relax and enjoy the drive home, the more he piped in with directions and cautions as we neared his house. I asked him how his children felt when he was in the car with them. He told me he always drove when taking his kids anywhere. I said what about your wife? He said he chose to drive because he didn't trust her driving.
Today as I reflect back on what happened last night I see how far I have moved on this journey of finding positivity in my life. I also see how negative thoughts can just scramble your brains and lead to confusion.
I am very tempted to suggest the mental cleanse for my cousins. I know I will introduce them to it. I also know I have to do it tactfully because they are so set in their ways.
I cast my mind further at what life would be like in their families. They are both nearing 50 and 62 and have such a negative old view of life.
Unfortunately that was my mastermind group and a product of my past.
It is so refreshing to have moved away from that and to be involved with an uplifting global mastermind group on the 30 day mental cleanse.
I really count my blessings.
To think it just begins with changing your thoughts!

And this is what I have come to understand as the Power of the Mastermind.
When I first came online 15 years ago, looking for a way to make money from home, I thought that all I needed was my own determination and the right information in order to be successful. I'd like to say that I quickly learned otherwise, but the truth is I attempted to exert my own Will Power for most of that 15 years.
Ironically, I had experienced the power of the mastermind as a member of a 12-step program. It was amazing how people could come together in unity and definite purpose and be successfully healed. What I was not able to understand was that this unity and harmony where to backbone and key to all success, both in life and in business. This is probably why it took me so many years to find success in harnessing true power in my business life.
So, when I came into Mentoring for Free I was instantly drawn to 30 Day Mental Cleanse, because I had experienced the power of the mastermind before, and I Really Wanted and Desired what these network marketers had, success in life and business. And, as I learned the principles in "Think and Grow Rich" and saw how precisely the power of the mastermind was being utilized, I realize that I had found home.
Because of the healing and strength gained from being a part of 30 Day Mental Cleanse Mastermind, I know that I am becoming the leader that people want to follow. As long as I stay willing to do whatever it takes to let go of my ego and my self-will and allow the harmony and power of the mastermind to work within me, success in life and business is mine. I can feel a rush of pure energy coursing through me as I imagine all of my MFF family being on the same page. That energy is made from the emotions of love, faith, sex, romance, enthusiasm, hope, desire and prosperity.
I cannot express enough just how grateful and proud I am to know, feel and whitness the power of The Most Harmonious Mastermind for Network Marketers on planet earth. What a gift that just keeps on giving. This is a gift that I plan to keep on giving for the rest of my life.

What this chapter meant to me is masterminding with others like Henry Ford and Andrew Carnegie did. And more importantly using what I have learned from them by adding it to my plan of action.
It is not enough to begin with the end in mind and use what you have learned from the experts. It is testing what they have taught you and getting results. Without results we are not a leader. And when we do not get the results we want we must ask ourselves why haven't we accomplished what we wanted to? Then we must figure out how we can adjust and if we do not know the answer ask again the mastermind group.
Lets avoid suffering in silence and lets make sure we have a detailed plan of action just like Sarah Thompson has taught us. But lets not get stuck on the how. Lets get to the why and the BURNING DESIRE. Because when people see that we are so energetic and having fun like we were at a party. They want to know "Is there a party going on right here?"
When that happens it is either someone who is at a leadership level on a scale of 1-10. Ten being the highest one being the lowest. Does not matter. Over time if the person is coachable then he can develop himself from a two to a nine over time.
He will join you if he knows you, likes you and trusts you. More importantly have common interests. Because the more you have in common the more time he will want to spend with you!!
