I spent the weekend away however it managed to show me more about myself and who I am as a person. The weekend just past showed me why I work in the role that I do, it is because I enjoy that role. I enjoy working my business and the role that I do with marine rescue NSW. They are both positions I enjoy, when I find a position I enjoy I will stay with that position for many reasons. The strange thing is I tend to enjoy volunteering more than paid work, yesterday was awesome and I loved it. I saw a great example of how a team works, working as a team to achieve that common goal. Also having my own limits and tolerances acknowledge and being supported with those limits, which is ok lets work around such.
I saw me which is a guy who cares about others, who does his role with the best of his ability with many wonderful talents. I have worked in the field of emergency services for years in a number of capacities, however none of which has used my talents like my current role did over the weekend. It was just so great, sure ok I need to work my business also. Yet I know inside that I can do both and that I personally have an awesome life.
When someone discovers who they are as a person everything starts to fall into place.
